Started the season well on the AW with a win and a second and to a certain extent has maintained that form back on turf after a break. Last of four recent at Goodwood but not disgraced in a much better grade against some in-form types.

Has run well enough over this trip on his last two starts but there's still a doubt about him being fully effective over it. He's not been seen for a while now and faces some race-fit rivals here and is best watched on this occasion.

Taken a little while to get the hang on things but looked more like the finished article when winning at Bath (1m2f, firm) last time. Given a 5lb rise for beating some exposed rivals he looks sure to cope with that rise going up 2f in trip.

Made significant progress on her handicap debut at Leicester and although she couldn't back that at Goodwood ridden slightly differently it was still a pleasing display. Left on the same mark here she should be involved with more to come.

Still a maiden if a useful one having left the impression that he can win a race like this and worth a go at this trip (not bred to stay this far). Cheekpieces worn for his last three starts say in place and he's not to be ignored.

Previously seen at her best here she got off the mark over C&D showing improved form and looking more at home given a stamina test on only her second run for this yard. Raised 5lb for that win she looks capable of producing more and staying further.

Verdict

The three-year-olds who make up the majority of this field have one or two that look likely to improve some more on what they done so far chief among those would be Groveman who won well at Bath looking as though he could progress some more. Eden Rose and Golden Image are two others two others from that age group who could get involved but despite the welter burden of 10-1 RECKLESS WAVE is the suggestion. She’s run well the last twice over this trip and despite finishing last of four on her most recent start still looked in good form and will appreciate this ease in grade.
