Had been in good form prior to Doncaster demolition job last time out, winning by 10l but the handicapper has slapped a big fine on her for that, raising her 12lb. Cheekpieces used there are kept on, so she may yet find a bit more.
Steadily progressive this spring/summer, and continued in a good vein of form with a success at Lingfield last time. Travels well in her races, shouldn't have a problem with the track and has to go well off just 3lb higher than latest win.
Another to come into this off the back of a win, this time successful by a head at Windsor in a competitive little event. 4lb rise is fair, but no great experience of downhill tracks, so has that as a question mark against him.
Came good at Lingfield in May and not disgraced when a close staying-on fifth at Newbury last time out. Seems to handle downhill tracks fine, but will have to come from well off the gallop here so faster they go the better his chance.
Didn't do badly when hitting the frame at Brighton last time out but that was in the bottom grade and he's simply a frustrating character that finds winning hard (just 1 win in 26 starts). Places looks the best he can hope for here.
Did a lot of good late work in a competitive handicap at Sandown two starts back to grab third (possibly a touch unlucky) but couldn't reproduce that at Salisbury last time out. Lightly raced and may improve, so not discounted just yet.
Forecasts
Ashazuri (2/1), Raven Banner (9/4), Dangerous Ends (7/2), Bayston Hill (7/1), Top Beak (9/1), Triple First (12/1)
There's no obvious pacemaker here, and this could turn into a messy contest, so some caution is advised. Perhaps RAVEN BANNER will be the least inconvenienced by a slow pace as she isn't short of speed and seemed a different horse once the cheekpieces went on last time. She can come out on top. Triple First isn't to be discounted as she looked a winner in waiting after her Sandown effort, so it's best to forgive her a poor run last time out. Ashazuri looks best of the rest.
