By Frankel's half-brother Morpheus out of a 1¼m/1m3f winner. Stable's juveniles have made no impact this season, and others more appealing on paper.

Born To Sea half-brother to 5f/6f winner Gower Princess out of a 1m winner. Been sold cheaply several times, making €12,500 earlier this year. Yard just 2-75 with Flat runners in recent seasons.

Lethal Force half-brother to 2-y-o 5f winner Priory. Stable yet to hit mark with two-year-olds in 2018, but some appeal on breeding, and top rider booked.

Has run creditably on both starts to date most recently when finishing 5L fourth to Comedy at Pontefract (6f) last month, where she paid for chasing speedy winner. Big chance back down in trip.

Amoreena23
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: J Mitchell| T: Tom Clover
8/1
Half-sister to Super Sprint winner Temple Meads, and hinted at much better when 5¼ lengths sixth of 8 to Quiet Waters in novice at Nottingham, unable to sustain her effort. Will improve.

9/1
Speedily bred, being by Slade Power out of 5f listed winner Sugar Free, and a half-sister to a couple of winners. Holds an entry in Tattersalls Sales race at Newmarket in October, and worth a look in the market.
7

Horse silk
20/1
Oasis Dream half-sister to winners, including smart 1m-1¾m winner Moyenne Corniche, out of a listed winner at this track. Pedigree suggests she may need further, but not discounted, particularly if attracting support.

Horse silk
12/1
Zebedee half-sister to numerous winners, including talented performers Monsieur Chevalier and Outback Traveller. Very green when down the field at Lingfield on debut, and will presumably do much better in time.
9
(5)
Horse silk
25/1
Dragon Pulse filly out of a poor maiden from family of stakes performers Warrsan, Luso and Needle Gun. Makes limited appeal on pedigree, and yard just 1-47 with two-year-olds on turf in last few seasons.

Forecasts

Pink Iceburg (8/11), Scale Force (13/2), Amoreena (8/1), Feel The Noize (9/1), Spring Holly (12/1), Miss Green Dream (20/1), Shining Armor (20/1), Tarakona (25/1), Maared (66/1)

Verdict

Subsequent events have shown that PINK ICEBURG faced a stiff task trying to chase down Comedy at Pontefract, and she will find it much easier to sustain her speed in this company, particularly dropping back to the minimum trip. Amoreena and Feel The Noize have entries in the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes. The former shaped better than the result on debut at Nottingham, and should improve, while the well-named Feel The Noize has plenty of speed on both sides of her pedigree, and is the most interesting of the newcomers.
  1. Pink Iceburg
  2. Amoreena
  3. Feel The Noize
