Proved a revelation since moving to this yard winning all his three starts so far and producing a career-best last time over 1m6f. Did run in snatches though and a return to this trip or the application of headgear will help; leading player in this.
Slipped back down to below his last winning mark (61) but needs a real stamina test to be seen at his best. Didn't find this trip a severe enough test the last time he was tried over it and it could be the same story again here.
Only had one run on the Flat since moving to this yard (over hurdles otherwise) he was well supported on that occasion (looked a hard ride though). Not disgraced in first-time cheekpieces over hurdles last time; now worn on Flat for first-time.
First run for this yard having run with credit last time (went with some zest) over a much shorter trip. Now significantly back up in trip and off a 5lb lower mark it may well be a case of seeing if there is any market interest in him.
Had every chance in a low-grade staying handicap on the AW last time coming back to some sort of form. Blinkers now added to his usual tongue-tie as he's tried on turf again a surface one the Flat he yet to win on.
Back from a break last time he eventually showed some form to finish third (possibly unlucky not to finish second) over 2m. A repeat of that effort would put him in the picture here on just his third turf start.
Had a tongue-tie added to the cheekpieces he had worn on two previous starts to show some improved but still poor form last time over a shorter trip. Needs to settle better to last out this 2m having stepped markedly in trip.
Still a maiden after 20 Flat runs and has finished well-held in the majority of her starts. Showed very little over hurdles recently and best watched even in this modest event.
On a long losing run but did look like breaking that sequence last time out when just run out of things late on (travelled well). That was on the AW here over a similar trip and he is 0/5 on turf and needs to show he can back up that run on turf.
Showed some modest form for her previous yard but has done nothing in two runs for current connections and will have to improve greatly to make an impression here. Stepped up in trip by some 4f and best watched for now.
Forecasts
Bailarico (8/13), Mizen Master (3/1), Danglydontask (10/1), Buthelezi (11/1), Street Jester (20/1), Threediamondrings (20/1), Shan Dun Na Ngall (22/1), Clearance (25/1), Topalova (66/1), Archipentura (100/1)
There looks to be little strength in depth here with the Warren Greatrex trained BAILARICO taken to complete the four-timer after appearing to have plenty of improvement left last time. His rather lazy style of running often masking how much he actually has in hand despite his rise in the handicap. Both Mizen Master and Buthelezi come from camps where a market move would be significant and they both need watching in the betting exchanges. Street Jester is given a chance if he repeats his last run while Threediamondrings is another to consider although he has to prove himself on turf.
- Bailarico
- Street Jester
- Buthelezi
