Consistent sort who generally runs her race in handicaps and did so last time on the AW (hood back on) bumping into a well-treated one. Slipped back below her last winning mark but always vulnerable to a better treated rival.

This is her level but she has failed to convert any chances in this grade for quite some while now although she shaped well enough last time. Left poorly placed to make her effort she was never nearer than at the finish; headgear left off again.

Makes her turf debut in GB having run four times on the AW (won on her stable debut at Lingfield; 6f maiden) and steps back into handicaps. Having run over further in France she looks a sprinter who should be respected returning to handicaps.

Took a forward leap on her second start of the year having disappointed on her first winning a 6f Yarmouth handicap (on debut) in good style. That was far from a race with depth but she moved well and won a shade cosily; up 6lb but still in the mix.

Course winner over 5f (a race that proved strong form) one of her two career wins. Has slipped back to that same winning mark now having not quite been at her best in two runs this year; had excuses though and not totally dismissed.

Made her handicap debut last time (first-time blinkers) and ran poorly failing to improve on any previous form. She's flashed some decent form before and is still lightly-raced so not one to dismiss totally against her own sex.

Had looked rather moribund on her first two starts of the year before hitting winning form out of the blue at Windsor last time over 6f; saw the trip out well. Well placed to strike and won with something in hand; will need to improve up in grade.

Forecasts

Verdict

The consistent top weight Rose Berry looks sure to run her race but she is vulnerable to an improving sort as she was last time and another placing looks to be on the cards here. RESTLESS ROSE scored in a race that lacked depth last time but the style of her win was more than the substance and she’s taken to follow up that victory. Dizzy G has to prove that she can carry a penalty and (she is also 3lb out of the handicap) in order to build on her unexpected Windsor win while Temeraire and Madame Bounty should also be noted the latter being better than she has shown so far this season.
  1. Restless Rose
  2. Rose Berry
  3. Temeraire
