Career best second at Epsom, a track he seems well suited by. Bit disappointing he couldn't back it up over this C&D last time and looks high enough in the weights at present.
Improved significantly last season for his seasonal reappearance and looked to need the run again in a strong York handicap. Likely to make a bold bid from the front.
Showed a good attitude winning last time but this is a tough ask to try and follow up in a higher grade and up 5lb. Could go well but others better handicapped.
Progressive on the AW earlier this year before being well beaten, albeit in a strong race, back on turf. Looks held by the handicapper at present.
Trained by Richard Hannon back in 2015 before going abroad and rather lost his way most recently in Meydan. Better on stable debut when third but got to set a sedate pace and this looks a tough task.
11-race maiden who has finished in the first three in eight starts to date. Finished runner-up again last time and has filled that position in all three runs over this distance. Likely to go well again.
Really progressive colt in four starts to date, following a maiden win with a very good third in the London Gold Cup at Newbury. That is always a strong race and it was an impressive handicap debut.
Only had five starts and improving with every run. Followed two wins on easier surfaces with a narrow third on quicker ground. Entitled to progress again and should go close.

Chief Ironside (7/4), Breath Caught (9/4), Capton (5/1), Brorocco (7/1), Know Your Limit (12/1), Proposed (16/1), Ay Ay (16/1), Rotherwick (20/1), Maratha (25/1)
Capton will be better for his first run back and should ensure this is a truly run race. Know Your Limit is proving frustrating that he can't convert his regular placed runs into a win but isn't one to give up on yet and can go well again. Breath Caught seems to act on any ground and is lightly-raced and progressive. Likewise CHIEF IRONSIDE made a really impressive handicap debut in a warm contest and there looks a lot more to come.
- Chief Ironside
- Breath Caught
