Off since December but has a consistent record at a modest level. Set to race from 3lb below his last win in a handicap, so feasible chance on these terms. No forlorn hope for a place in the frame.
Trip and ground ideal but up 8lb for her latest win (by 4L at Yarmouth two weeks ago). The rider's claim off-sets the burden but still faces a tougher assignment.
Likes it here (winner and placed over 6f before now). Responded well in first-time cheekpieces last time - running on well near the finish. Worth a try over this trip and one of the more likely winners if her stamina holds out.
Effective on both the AW and turf, so no fears about switching back from an artificial surface. Potentially well treated despite 3lb rise for latest win and another to bear in mind.
Has ability locked away but seems to have lost his way at present and difficult to recommend in her current form. Did win her maiden over C&D but a leap of faith is required in her bid to turn back the clock.
Winner over 1m here in April but has struggled off revised mark subsequently. Dropped a further 2lb for this but lacks consistency and may be best watched despite having the assistance of Silvestre De Sousa.
Long-standing maiden and failed to make an impact on her recent return from a long break. Others far more appealing.
Forecasts
La Isla Bonita (2/1), Showdance Kid (4/1), Mime Dance (9/2), Roys Dream (5/1), African Blessing (6/1), Wild Dancer (10/1), Flying Sakhee (25/1)
An interesting little handicap where several have fair claims on the pick of their form., not least ROYS DREAM, who is unexposed at the trip and looks worth a shot after catching the eye late in the race last time out. La Isla Bonita will be popoular after her successful visit to Yarmouth earlier in the month and, with a 5lb claimer helping to negate the rise in the weights, a bold attempt can be expected. Showdance Kid and African Blessing also do their bit to make this a tough one to call as both are capable of at least making the frame.
- Roys Dream
- La Isla Bonita
- Showdance Kid
