Newcomer by Camacho with the dam a winner in Germany at up to 1m2f and a half-sister to the smart winner at 1m-1m2f Tazeez. Trainer 2/7 with his juveniles this year and always respected in this sphere.

Once-raced sort from a stable not known for their juvenile winners. Looked very green on his debut at Wolverhampton over 6f and would need to have leant very quickly from that debut to take a hand here (unlikely).

First juvenile runner of the season from a yard who are 4/52 in this sphere in the past five years. This looks a tough test for the son of Havana Gold on debut and he's best watched unless the market speaks for him.

Half-brother to three winners by Camacho who made some appeal on pedigree prior to his debut. Shaped well on his sole outing so far showing plenty of speed (as per pedigree) but lacking any sharpness; sure to improve on that run though upped in trip.

Trainer is having a rather quiet season and has yet to have a two-year-old winner. This one has run twice now and has looked in need of the experience twice now over 6f; may know more here but looks a longer term project.

Half-brother to several winners from a yard that are always to be respected with their juveniles. First season sire Bungle Inthejungle is doing well so far and he's worth noting for any market support on debut.

Trainer in general has picked up in recent weeks but is still to have a two-year-old winner (0/16). This one (by Compton Place) showed a little on debut but looked to need the run; showed less on his second outing regressing from his initial start.

Very green on his debut he showed very little and was always behind at Bath over 5f. Stepped up to 6f on his second start he was much improved and had learnt plenty from that initial run; now tries 7f for the first time.

The only filly in the field but from a stable that already have 26 juvenile winners on the board this year (23% strike-rate with their newcomers in the past year). Has winners in her pedigree and likely to know her job from this yard.

Forecasts

Kilbarchan (5/2), Sky Patrol (7/2), Water Diviner (4/1), Al Mortajaz (4/1), Max Guevara (8/1), So Hi Class (10/1), Swan Street (20/1), Havana Sunset (33/1), Eagre (66/1)

Verdict

Those that have run so far don’t set a standard that is too exacting and one of the four newcomers may well be able to take this on their initial outings. The Mark Johnston team are always to be respected with their new newcomers and KILBARCHAN is sure to know her job and is given a narrow vote over the Simon Crisford debutante Al Mortajaz. Of those that have run both Max Guevara and Sky Patrol are expected to put their experience to good use especially the latter who ran a nice race at Leicester on his debut.
  1. Kilbarchan
  2. Sky Patrol
  3. Al Mortajaz
