Yet to impress in 11 beaten starts on turf and returns from a good AW campaign to a surface he gets to race off a 17lb lower mark. If he transfers the form he's well in but it's a question mark.
Winner over the C&D and followed up at Salisbury. Disappointing favourite last time but foolish to write her off back on quicker ground.
Dropped back 2lb below last winning mark and ran well enough in albeit slowly run race last time. Not without a chance.
Sole win came off 4lb lower for previous stable and pays the price in the handicap for consistent form. Handles this ground and likely to go well again.
Dropped back in trip and turf debut when running a close third over the C&D. Not drawn that well but possible there's more to come now.
Didn't run badly at all over this C&D on reappearance. While he should be fitter for the run the concern is he has tended of late to back up a good run with a poor one.
Hasn't backed up a decent reappearance on the fibresand and has been poor on her last three starts elsewhere. Back down in distance and best watched.
Poor efforts on his last three starts over the C&D and extremely hard to fancy at present for a stable out of form.
C&D winner so possible this drop back in trip will suit on first run for new stable. However needs to lift on recent form including in a seller latest.
Third to Mooroverthebridge last time over a C&D he goes particularly well at. Chance of reversing the form at these revised weights and that was a significant bounce back to form.
Bit to find with a few of these on recent form and best overlooked with stable continuing to struggle for form.
18-race maiden and recent runs including over this C&D haven't suggested a breakthrough success is any nearer. Hard to make a case for.
Forecasts
Yogiyogiyogi (9/2), Born To Finish (9/2), Indian Pursuit (9/2), Mooroverthebridge (6/1), Masquerade Bling (7/1), Captain Ryan (8/1), Willsy (9/1), Diamond Pursuit (16/1), Spellmaker (20/1), Burauq (20/1), Dramatic Voice (25/1), Compton Prince (33/1)
SPELLMAKER has good form here and his latest third behind Mooroverthebridge suggests he can add to his sole turf win over the C&D, off this much reduced mark. Both should be suited by conditions. Masquerade Bling is so consistent it's hard not to see her involved while Born To Finish would be hard to beat based on his AW form but needs to show he acts on this surface.
- Spellmaker
- Mooroverthebridge
- Masquerade Bling
