Sole success came over trip trip on the AW at Wolverhampton. Tailed off on last two starts last year for Peter Hiatt and hard to enthuse over on stable and seasonal debut.
Looks held by the handicapper at present and got worked up in the stalls before never featuring last time. Last four runs since winning have been poor and remains best watched.
Last three runs have been poor including when returning to turf on a quick surface. Hard to recommend at present.
Four from 15 on turf after winning last time and now 4lb higher. However won off 34lb higher in his younger days with David Wachman in Ireland when he also handled quicker conditions. He's nowhere near that ability nowadays but will be hard to beat.
Only win in 16 races came in a Wolverhampton claimer last July but took advantage of a lower turf mark with an improved performance when second on quick ground. Has been found another suitable opportunity.
Still looking for his first win after 13 attempts. No sign of improvement back on turf and others are preferred.
18-race maiden but showed slight improvement last time. Worth another try on fast ground as only had one previous run on a quick surface and seemed to handle it. Place hopes in a weak contest.
Well beaten in three outings on the Flat and it's been a similar story since switched to hurdles. Best watched.
Winner in three-runner Guernsey contest is very difficult to make a case for on these terms back on these shores..
Forecasts
Howardian Hills (5/2), General Brook (3/1), Avocadeau (5/1), House Of Frauds (11/2), Travis Bickle (7/1), Diamond Reflection (12/1), Iona Island (20/1), Exspectation (20/1), Morning Sequel (33/1)
GENERAL BROOK is undoubtedly a better horse on turf than on the AW as he proved with victory last time out. He's still well handicapped in this sphere and it's worth taking a chance he'll handle the quicker ground in a weak contest. Howardian Hills looks the only danger on recent form and is also on a good mark after a much better run on turf last time. Travis Bickle is taken to chase them home.
