Started at a big price on debut (25/1) when well held at Thirsk over 5f but offered a little to work on and fared better than the bare result. Will have some improvement to come although this is a tougher task.

From a yard that are not really noted for their juveniles she's twice run with credit now without yet winning. Left her debut form well behind at Wolverhampton last time (did too much too soon); now given first turf start (poorly drawn).

Given the plumb draw here in stall 1 and from a yard that needs no introduction with juveniles. Progressed from her debut third to win cosily at Leicester (5f, good/firm) from a race that has produced winners already; sound chance.

Scored in good fashion on her debut at Winsor causing a surprise despite looking a little green. Failed to carry her penalty against a couple of useful types switched the AW at Lingfield and could be better drawn here.

100/1
Speedily bred type who showed up well on her debut at Ripon but failed to build on that run at Musselburgh beating just the one home. Ground conditions were markedly different on the second occasion (might be better with some cut in the ground).

4/1
One of two runners in the race for this lading juvenile stable with this one being a half-sister to the useful two-year-old Darkanna. Made an encouraging start to her career at Nottingham (5f, soft) and there looks to be more to come.

12/1
One of the more experienced runners in this having already had four starts she's nicely drawn here. She may not be able to take advantage though having been outclassed last time in Listed company; lacks scope of others in the field.

Already the winner of three of her four races the only blip coming at Listed level at York on her third start. Soon bounced back last time though to add a Musselburgh victory to her Doncaster and Chester wins (all over 5f); has to cope with stall 12.

Progressing nicely so far and after a debut which showed she had ability on the AW she handled the switch to turf well in a small field at Ascot. Only narrowly beaten on that occasion the 4th has since come out and won; draw hasn't been kind though.

Off the mark at the second attempt and in quite impressive fashion at Chester after starting slowly. Given a stiffer task on her last start in Listed grade at Sandown (not quite up to the task) and will be more at home in this company.

Verdict

The Hannon team landed this in 2016 and look to have another good chance of doing so with WEDDING DATE who wasn’t disgraced in Listed company last time out having impressed at Chester on her second start. No Lippy will need all her experience to overcome stall 12 but she’s hard to write off having won three of her four starts and looking to be still progressing at Musselburgh last weekend. Richard Fahey has rather surprisingly not won this race but both his contenders – Kodyanna and Good Tyne Girl are respected both have decent draws. Dame Gladys comes from the yard that won this back-to-back in 2010/11 and she’s nicely drawn after showing progress last time at Nottingham.
