Inconsistent type who is yet to win from nine starts. Won on AW two starts back but disappointed back on turf. This isn't a strong field and could easily bounce back on this surface.

Handicap debut after showing improvement in maiden company on his third start. Form nothing special but this looks a suitable opening opportunity in handicaps.

First run at this course but best run of her career came at Kempton so possible she can improve following disappointing reappearance on turf.

13-race maiden who was well held on turf on reappearance. Showed ability early on but form became regressive last season and best watched for now.

Well beaten in all three starts so far and now makes handicap debut for a stable going well. Market may will indicate if improvement is expected.

Failed to live up to market expectations on reappearance and handicap debut. Possible she could bounce back after promise in three runs last season over a trip that should suit better.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: T Hamilton| T: R A Fahey| OR:  51

Has dropped a total of 6lb since handicap debut two runs back but both times was disappointing and form isn't progressing. Significant improvement required.

Dropped a further 3lb after three runs this season in handicaps. Should be better at this trip after failing over further and based on run two starts back can be competitive.

Island Foxb8
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Laura Coughlan(7)| T: D Loughnane| OR:  48

Unraced at two but well beaten at very long odds in all five starts this campaign. Hard to recommend on this massive drop in distance.

Eyes of Fire8
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Kevin Lundie(5)| T: J R Norton| OR:  47

12-race maiden whose form has gone backwards in his last three starts and now starting to fall in the handicap. Moderate sixth over C&D last time and needs to find progress to be competitive.

Poppy Jag8

Plenty of promise at this level in two starts this campaign including over the C&D last time. Dropped a further 2lb and looks a leading contender.

Raise A Little Joy30
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: F Norton| T: J R Jenkins| OR:  45

Looked like she was threatening to do better when third at Lingfield over the minimum distance but was disappointing when well beaten here last time. More required back up in trip.

Sitsi18
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-12| J: Cam Hardie| T: B Smart| OR:  45

Showed more over this C&D on her final start last season but has been regressive in three starts this campaign. Best watched at present.

Forecasts

Twilight (11/4), Nalaini (9/2), Terri Rules (13/2), Poppy Jag (8/1), Ingleby Molly (10/1), Eyes of Fire (10/1), Spanish Mane (12/1), Lord Guest (12/1), Peggie Sue (14/1), Llamrei (16/1), Sitsi (40/1), Raise A Little Joy (40/1), Island Fox (100/1)

Verdict

A weak contest where it may pay to side with POPPY JAG who at least has shown enough to win a race of this nature in her starts this season and has form at the track. Ingleby Molly had presumably been showing more at home before her comeback and she shouldn’t be given up on yet. Lord Guest in interesting on handicap debut and has more upside than her rivals while Peggy Sue could bounce back returning to the AW.
  1. Poppy Jag
  2. Ingleby Molly
  3. Lord Guest
