Unbeaten so far and powered away for a comfortable win under a penalty at Wolverhampton (1m1½f, AW) last time. Turf debut today and double penalty to carry but very much respected as the with more improvement likely. Gelded since last run.
Pivotal colt that cost 87,000 gns as a yearling. Second foal. Dam won the Group 2 Italian Oaks and is a sister to Grade 2 winner in Canada. Taken some time to get to the track and market should be a good guide to expectations.
Fair hurdler (cost €100,000). Ran well to be a well beaten third behind a couple of potential smart types. Should run his race again here but will be vulnerable to anything with above average ability.
Well backed ahead of reappearance run at Newbury (1m2f, good to firm) and won nicely in what is generally a strong maiden. Likely there is plenty more to come and will be a danger to all here. Has Group 1 & 2 entries and very much respected.
Lawman colt. Half brother to several winners. Dam was unpaced over 1m-1m4f and is a sister to Leger winner Millenary. Plenty of stamina in the pedigree so this looks a good starting point.
Colt by Rock Of Gibralter that fetched €68,000 as a yearling. First foal. Dam was a winner over 1m5f & 1m6f and is a half-sister to 1m6f/2m Listed winner Balkan Knight out of Listed winner/Oaks third. Likely type on paper for powerful yard.
Frankel colt, cost 500,000 gns as a yearling. Shaped with much promise on debut before a disappointing effort when 4/7F at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) on second run. Held a Derby entry and clearly though capable of better. Should be more to come.
Beautifully bred son of Frankel. He's related to several winners. Dam was a listed winner and is a half-sister to 1m Group 1 winner Rebeccas Sharp and to the dam of Golden Horn. Likely type on paper and very much respected for powerful connections.
Shamardal colt out of a Lear Fan mare, he is a half-brother to nine winners, predominantly over middle distances. 25/1 and well beaten on debut at Kempton (1m, AW) where everything happened a bit too quick. This trip more suitable and one to note.
Dansili colt whose dam is half-sister to a French Group 1 winner. Will have learnt plenty from his debut when plugging on for fourth at Windsor (1m2f, good) six weeks ago. Likely to come on for that run but up against some promising types today.
Colt by Mastercraftsman that cost €105,000 as a yearling. Fifth foal, closely related to smart French performer Heron Lake. Dam was a French & US 1m4f winner. Likely type on paper and market a good guide.
Oasis Dream colt. Ninth foal, brother to 1m winner Sacred Act. Half-brother to several winners including French Oaks winner Star Of Seville. Dam won over 7f and 1m. Likely type on paper, yard also run Marechal Ney.
Nathaniel colt who is a half-brother to a couple of winners over various trips. Two runs so far and has been beaten a long way in both. Likely to find this tough going and handicaps will suit better on the back of this.
Teofilo filly. 7th foal, half-sister to several winners. Dam was a winner over 1m & 1m4f. Only filly in this field so gets weight all round. Type trainer does well with and a market check needed on debut.

Forecasts
Al Muffrih (1/1), Elwazir (3/1), Cross Counter (4/1), Marechal Ney (10/1), Howman (10/1), Harbour Breeze (12/1), Persian Sun (20/1), Star Of Bengal (33/1), Thimbleweed (40/1), Scaramanga (50/1), Kings Inn (50/1), Carnwennan (50/1), Perpetrator (66/1), Dazzling Rock (66/1), Cortado (66/1), Trinitas (100/1), Cosmic Landscape (100/1)
A good looking novice event. Cross Counter is unbeaten in two starts and should be in the mix once more. Elwazir is a colt by Frankel who should have more to come. Preference though is for AL MUFFRIH who won what is usually a fairly strong maiden at Newbury last time and can take this on route to better things.
- Al Muffrih
- Cross Counter
- Elwazir
