Has improved since switched to handicaps, finishing 4L down in third last time out at Southwell over 3m. Tongue tie added here and likely has a bit more to come as experience grows.

Shaped nicely at Chepstow in February and looked a winner in waiting off the back of that, but not so good since and plenty to prove here, not least his ability to act on this ground and the extended trip.

Fairly disappointing since his successful debut for this yard at Chepstow over a year ago, string of poor efforts resulting in a declining handicap mark. Yet to suggest he's going to take advantage of it.

Made all to take an Exeter seller by 7L for Sophie Leech in March 2017 (2m1f soft), but failed to progress for new trainer Aytach Sadik. Off since August 2017, and debuts for new connections (cost £1,400 in November 2017).

Well-beaten in each run in novice hurdles despite filling a place on a couple of occasions, and no better since switching to handicaps. Cheekpieces on for the first time and needs plenty more.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-9| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Farrelly| OR:  107

Scored back-to-back wins over timber during summer 2016 over 2m/2m1f on decent ground. Poor in three 2017 runs, now returns to action for new trainer. Market may help.

Supported in the betting on debut for this yard at Perth last time having undergone a wind operation. Duly improved to be second on handicap bow and entitled to be in the mix once more.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: J McGrath| T: J W Mullins| OR:  103

Better showing on handicap bow at Newton Abbot (2m5½f, soft), shaping as if this longer trip would be a plus. May well have more to offer now.

Was pulled up over timber at Exeter in November but has won on seasonal bow last two seasons (hurdles and fences) including off this mark. Stays this distance and might be wise to catch him early.

Not the best jumper, also didn't appear to stay 3m at Perth in April so has work to do on both fronts if wanting to prove credentials here.

Hasn't won for two years but is a fairly consistent type. Tends to run his race but likely to come across one or two that are better treated in a competitive race like this.

Has been toiling over fences lately, reverts to this sphere 7lb out of the weights and seemingly requiring a lift from a first-time visor.

Verdict

HELLO FELLAS showed improved form after a wind operation when taking second spot at Perth last time out. The lightly-raced six-year-old should be suited by this longer trip and can open his account at the main expense of Court Affairs, who also shaped as if a further stamina test would last month at Newton Abbot. David John has an excellent record fresh and needs a close look as such while Frozen Flame is going the right way for Jonjo O'Neill.
