C&D winner (off a 10lb higher mark) who took advantage of a fall in the weights to score at Bangor (2m7f, soft). Has rather struggled to find her form since but conditional riders now replaced by a fully-fledged rider.
Has a lengthening losing run to deal with although last month's outing a Sedgefield hinted that there may be more to come. Yet to win over hurdles (0/17) and trainer's first runner at the course but worth a market check in this scenario.
Lightly-raced of late although he did win a small field handicap in late-2016. Only three runs since then but caught the eye last time running on from a poor position to finish 4th behind a thriving winner; yard had good winner here on Saturday.
Has in his bumper and hurdles runs look as though he needs a test of stamina (gets that here). This will be his first try in handicaps which offer him far more chance than he's had so far; yard have a modest record over hurdles here.
Runner-up from the front on both his last two starts in staying handicaps finding for pressure but appearing vulnerable in a finish. Ought to be capable off this sort of mark though in some of the weak summer handicaps.
Given her handicap debut going up in trip although on what she's done so far the mark (low as it is) still looks a harsh one. Rare runner at the track for the trainer and not one that would be making any shortlist.
Reached a handicap mark in the mid-90's on the Flat when with Mark Johnston but has so far offered little over hurdles. Now give a test for the first time in this sphere and that may help off what is a very low mark; yard have had winners here.
Back from a break having well beaten in her only two handicaps so far but runs off a career-low mark now (90). Both those runs were on soft/heavy ground so this better surface may help; her best run came on good ground.
Starting to get the respite from the handicapper that she requires although in the main her handicap form is moderate. Would want to see more than we have so far before supporting her; visor goes on first-time.
Back from a long break she has shown some promise on her return and well supported backed that up with a first win at Perth last time. Only raised 4lb for that win which seems fair she's once again one to include in calculations.
Quirky sort who managed to keep those relatively in check when with Sue Smith but they have resurfaced for this yard. Ought to be able to exploit his fall in the weights but his temperament is hard to trust; headgear now goes on.
Tongue-tie is now added to cheekpieces that were used on his handicap debut last time where he showed little. Hasn't had much racing though under Rules and did manage to place in Irish point-to-points.
A record of 0/16 over hurdles when trained in Ireland probably tells its own story and her form so far is very in-and-out. Now makes her debut for a new yard but beaten off marks like this in the past.
Built on a sound enough run back from a break with a Uttoxeter with a win at the same venue over a slightly shorter trip. Looked to need the run back from a further break last time; should be competitive off this mark and over this trip.
Given how much higher he is rated over fences he should be able to make hay off this mark over hurdles but he's not easy to win with in either sphere. Went with very little fluency last time he was seen and best watched here.
There was some promise in her opening handicap hurdle albeit off a very low mark at Carlisle (2m3f, heavy). Excused her run last time (saddle slipped) and although conditions will be very different here can't be ruled out.
Forecasts
Dothraki Raider (7/2), Shanaway (5/1), My Escapade (11/2), Perseid (10/1), Flemish Maid (11/1), It's Buster (11/1), Chocolat Noir (14/1), Outrageous Romana (14/1), Notnowsam (14/1), Cowslip (14/1), Walkers Point (16/1), Isharah (16/1), Once An Angel (16/1), Barely Black (33/1), Oborne Lady (33/1), Forth Cave (66/1)
A big field go to post and that could see one or two traffic problems around this sharp and tight circuit. There are a few here that have chances off their marks if they found some form and Isharah and Walkers Point are both worth a check in the market on that account. DOTHRAKI RAIDER really caught the eye last time out though behind a winner who has followed-up since and his stable had a nice winner here on Saturday. My Escapade won last time out and should be able to cope with a 4lb rise and she rates the main danger. Others to note in an open event are Shanaway, Outrageous Romana and Once An Angel.
- Dothraki Raider
- My Escapade
- Once An Angel
