Down the field in this 12 months ago but bounced back for a C&D four weeks later. Prone to missing the break and yet to win off a mark as high as this.

Not at his best lately. Usually runs well here but the drop to 6f has to be considered a negative.

C&D winner who also beat Showmethewayavrilo at Bath in August. Entitled to have needed the run on return but it was still a poor performance.

Strung some good performances together last summer which have done little for his BHA rating. Handicapper has dropped him tentatively but may need to be more generous.

Won this 12 months ago and not as well handicapped this time. Soundly beaten off this mark last week.

Failed to get the breaks last two weeks ago when bouncing back from some mediocre performances. Best turf efforts have come with some give in the ground so any rain would be a help.

Has won two of his last three and should get the race run to suit. Has not been competitive from this kind of mark for two years, but clearly in fine heart and rider 3-7 when on board.

Scored at Lingfield on reappearance but 0-15 in this grade and she still looks too high in the weights.

Lost form towards the end of 2017 but seemed to have found his mark last time. Handles any ground and all four wins have come in similar company.

Won on his only start here when he was said to have liked the undulations. Not seen since winning at Newcastle six months ago and remains competitively weighted with the jockey booking taking the eye.

Forecasts

Kinglami (9/2), Tifl (5/1), Harry Beau (6/1), Awesome Allan (6/1), Air Of York (6/1), Mad Endeavour (8/1), Showmethewayavrilo (9/1), Peachey Carnehan (10/1), Secret Potion (10/1), Oeil De Tigre (11/1), Indian Affair (12/1), Wahaab (14/1), Evening Starlight (20/1), Jaganory (25/1)

Verdict

Air Of York arrives in better form than most but his new mark takes him into territory that has been beyond his reach recently. PEACHEY CARNEHAN is more attractively weighted and signalled a return to form on his return. Mad Endeavour and Tifi can be fancied on their latest efforts but neither can be relied to put two good runs together. Harry Beau and Awesome Allen shaped well last time but the former has a poor record in this grade and the latter would want rain.
