Out of a 1m2f winner (Ermyn Express), and shaped like a stayer when beaten 5L by Wednesday's Chester Vase winner Young Rascal at Newbury last month (1m3f good to soft). Race-fit, so should go close.
Unraced ninth foal by Finsceal Fior out of Damask Rose. Cost £21,000 as a juvenile, but always looked a horse for the longer term, being a half-brother to four winners including Double Bluff (1m1f-1m4f) and Sunblazer (upto 2m).

Unraced second foal by Teofilo out of the 1m2f-1m4f winner Polygon. Half-brother to the talented AW winner Ply (1m2f-1m3f), so looks fully capable of winning races with time and experience.
Half-brother to four winners (7f-2m) including fellow Godolphin silks wearers Winning Story and Gold Star. Not progressed overly quickly in a couple of AW maidens (1m-1m4f); beaten 4L by the Charlie Appleby trained Ghostwatch latest.

Showed promise on debut (1m), but never involved over 1m3f on seasonal reappearance at Newbury last month (14th of 20) and looks to be held by Corgi on that form-line. Cost 850,000 gns as a yearling, so hopefully just needed that recent run.

Finished in midfield on debut at Newbury last month (1m3f good to soft), and whilst likely to be much wiser for that experience obviously has something to find with the more experienced Corgi. Cost 55,000 gns as a yearling.
Sea The Stars gelding who is a brother to the Sir Mark Prescott trained 1m-2m AW winner Flymetothestars. Ought to improve markedly on his Newmarket debut last month when beaten in excess of 3L by Star Of Southwold (1m2f good).

Dansili colt from the family of Oaks winner Reams Of Verse. Showed obvious signs of improvement on his second start at Wolverhampton last month (1m4f) when a 1¼L runner up to Ghostwatch (Returning Glory a further 2¾L back in fourth).

Forecasts

Corgi (15/8), Stream Of Stars (5/2), Urbino (10/3), Returning Glory (7/1), Sharja Silk (14/1), Polish (16/1), Soto Sizzler (40/1), Double Legend (50/1)

Verdict

A competitive maiden with plenty of the leading stables represented and a number of those declared showing obvious signs of improvement for being stepped up in trip. The likes of Urbino and Stream Of Stars are only going to improve with further racing, with the former seemingly having the measure of today's rival Returning Glory judged on synthetics form at Wolverhampton. However, the thrice raced CORGI has already beaten a couple of these rivals previously and his recent Newbury second was given a mighty boost at Chester on Wednesday with the winner Young Rascal running out a very taking winner of the Group 3 Chester Vase.
  1. Corgi
  2. Stream Of Stars
  3. Urbino
