Still a maiden and making her turf debut here having shaped like a non-stayer over a mile last time at Lingfield. Dropped 5lb from her original handicap mark and now back over a more suitable trip.

Makes her handicap/turf debut having gone backwards from her debut although she was returning from a break last time. Has the assistance of the champion jockey though this time with the yard having a good record with handicap debutantes.

Not seen since making her handicap (nursery) debut in September on the AW and finished well held. Takes a slight drop in grade here but has produced her best form over 6f and may find this a stiff test.

Made little or no improvement for first-time blinkers and a step into handicaps over 1m1f at Wolverhampton last time. Now tries turf for the first time dropped in trip and with a tongue-tie added for the first time; others appeal more.

Still looked too green to do himself justice on his handicap debut over this trip and now tries turf for the first time. Looks the sort where there is more to come but may well need a greater test of stamina deliver his potential.

Shown very little since he was given a try in handicaps and dropped in grade to a claimer last time he was still below-par. Now tried in blinkers (first-time) but his form so far has failed to inspire.

Well-backed on her handicap debut when with Stuart Williams she showed a little more than before without really impressing (poorly placed though). Failed to come on for that run back at 6f on her first run for this yard (slow away; raced lazily).

Her form prior to her penultimate run was modest at best but she appeared to improve suddenly on that occasion over 6f (AW). Not really seen to best effect last time back on turf at Bath (6f, good); remains with just one good run to her name.

Little sign of ability when trained for three runs by Luke McJannet (started at 66/1 plus each time). Made her stable/handicap debut over 1m (soft) at Yarmouth but failed to show any improvement.

Formerly with Hugo Palmer she proved very modest for that yard even when switched into handicaps. Both outings for this yard have come over further but she's still to offer much promise.

This will be her first start on turf since her two-year-old debut (pulled hard) and although she showed more on her three-year-old return she failed to match that run last time. Best effort remains at 6f and hard to say this trip is ideal.

Forecasts

Silverturnstogold (3/1), Racehorse (3/1), Kachumba (9/2), Following Breeze (13/2), River Rule (12/1), Prezzie (14/1), Dolydaydream (14/1), Lyford (16/1), Dragon Tattoo (20/1), Thama (20/1), Calvin's Gal (33/1)

Verdict

As a contest this is an uninspiring one with very few of these having a solid or progressive profile. SILVERTURNSTOGOLD has shown some promise though and despite this trip looking a little on the short side he may just have the potential to get away with it. The booking of Silvestre De Sousa for Racehorse catches the eye with the yard having a good record with their handicap debutantes and she looks likely to step forward on what she has shown so far. Kachumba is another who could progress now back over what looks to be a more suitable trip with Following Breeze having a chance of getting involved if she repeats her Kempton runner-up form.
  1. Silverturnstogold
  2. Racehorse
  3. Kachumba
