Won over C&D in February, but could never land a blow back at this venue last month off 3lb higher. Runs off the same mark and needs to bounce back.
Plenty of creditable efforts without getting her head in front this year. Beaten off this mark on her last two starts, so needs to find more and widest draw is a hindrance.
Maiden hurdler who has been tried over a variety of distances on the Flat. Has questions to answer for the time being.
Winner over 1m at Lingfield in February and latest effort at Brighton on Tuesday is best ignored as he dwelt in the stalls. Considered back on the AW with positive jockey booking.
Successful over 1m at Southwell in March, but has struggled off higher marks in two subsequent runs, the latter in first-time cheekpieces. The headgear is left off this time and she has a bit to find.
Sent off at big prices on four outings for current yard and best of them came when fitted with cheekpieces two starts ago. Headgear is back on and he can run off the same mark.
Regular at this track who has been well held on recent starts. Cheekpieces are back on as connections seek a revival in his fortunes.
Likes this venue and ran his usual sound race when second off this mark last time. Makes plenty of appeal given several of his rivals have questions to answer.
Well held on three starts for current trainer, although he did shape a little better last time. Long time since he won, however, and is hard to recommend despite a falling handicap mark.
Off the mark at the 20th attempt when scraping home over 1m2f at Chelmsford earlier this month. Up 2lb and down in trip so has obstacles to overcome.
Remains a maiden after 11 starts, but shaped well in second place at Southwell last time when fitted with a hood. Runs off the same mark, but has to prove he is equally effective on this faster surface.
Without a win and placed only twice in 18 starts, the latest in first-time cheekpieces. Hard to fancy despite his career-low mark.
Hinted at a return to winning ways when second over C&D last time, albeit well beaten by an impressive winner. Races off 1lb lower and should make his presence felt.
Forecasts
Big Amigo (3/1), Sir Lancelott (4/1), Shamlan (7/1), Steel Helmet (7/1), Mr Frankie (8/1), Reine Des Miracles (10/1), Final Attack (14/1), Beatbybeatbybeat (16/1), Top Offer (16/1), Check 'em Tuesday (16/1), Life Of Luxury (20/1), Thecornishbarron (33/1), Quick Monet (50/1)
Several of these have question marks against them, but one for whom that cannot be said is SIR LANCELOTT, who always seems to run his race and was second off this mark at this venue on his latest outing. He is the percentage call and can be chased home by bottom-weight Final Attack, who hinted at better over C&D last time. Big Amigo's jockey booking catches the eye and Steel Helmet enters calculations, albeit over a trip which might be short of his best.
- Sir Lancelott
- Final Attack
- Big Amigo
