A winner on the Tapeta last November to get off the mark he ran a creditable race returned there soon after to finish in the runner-up slot. Not seen since then but that form is good enough to put him in with a chance here from a wide draw.

Well beaten in two runs so far and shown very little and on those showings hard to fancy here.
Makes his debut having cost 45, 000 guineas as a yearling out of a dam who was unraced but was a half-sister to a smart winner at up to 1m2f. Given his connections has to be respected.

Ran several times for John Gosden without winning and now moves back down in trip for a new yard. Will need to improve to win in this company and has more future in handicaps.
€35,000 yearling who is a half-brother to 1m1f winner Queen Ma. Yard don't have many debut winner and are infrequent visitors to this track.

Two runs to his name so far but has been well held in both and hard to make a case for him here.
From a leading stable who have a very good record here (25% strike-rate in last five years) but has shown very little in two runs so far. Needs this run for a mark and may well be seen to better effect in handicaps.

Runner-up on four occasions so far including when tried in a handicap last time. Sets a solid standard but is starting to looks an open book and vulnerable to the more unexposed types.

Has quite a decent pedigree and she's a half sister to several winners shaping well on her debut at Lingfield and expected to come on for that run. The proviso is of course that she acts on turf; yard have a 4/13 record here in the last five years.

Forecasts

Wind Storm (13/8), I Was Only Joking (3/1), Trevithick (7/2), The Pinto Kid (9/1), Nautical Mile (11/1), Shakour (14/1), Hot Off The Press (25/1), Whatwouldyouknow (66/1), Bayelsa Boy (66/1)

Verdict

She has to prove that she can act as well on turf as she did on the AW but if she does WIND STORM is expected to step forward on her promising debut here. Her main danger looks to be the lightly-race Trevithick who returns from a break having shown some good form on the Tapeta. Nautical Mile looks the best of the newcomers and should be monitored in the market with Hot Off The Press and I Was Only Joking looking two for handicaps down the line.
  1. Wind Storm
  2. Trevithick
  3. Nautical Mile
