Versatile as far as ground is concerned but not won off a mark this high in handicap company for many years and may want more relief before he's considered.
On a long losing run at present and while he's been running okay and handicap mark is falling, he would probably want better ground than this.
In good form for the majority of last year, getting his head in front twice and running well in defeat in some big handicaps. Mark has suffered as a result of that consistency but still not fully exposed.
A story of real progress last season and has the benefit of a recent run on the AW. Every chance that progress could continue again this year and versatile with regards ground.
Started last season in good form with a couple of placed efforts but form completely tailed off throughout the remainder of the campaign and showed very little on return to action at Southwell in February. Hard to fancy at present.
Consistent sort for his previous yard and signs things are starting to click for his new trainer in recent runs on AW. Still above his highest winning mark though and that's off-putting enough this time.
Was in the form of his life throughout last year winning off career high marks at both Ascot and Goodwood. Returns from an absence here and would probably want the ground softer than what he will get it.
Two wins from four starts for his new yard, all on AW but has run well on turf in the past, including a win at Windsor earlier in his career and a placed effort in last year's renewal of this. Just 1lb higher than that mark here and not discounted.
Sole turf win of 2017 came over C&D and arrives in good form having run some fair races on AW this winter. Reduced turf mark a positive and an interesting runner here.
Has won two of his last three starts, all coming on AW this month. However, he's a better horse on artificial surfaces or very fast ground and he's never won off a mark this high.
Won at Chelmsford in December but all his wins have come over further than this. Having first start since a wind operation and yard starting to hit form so not without positives.
A winner at Sandown in July last year and while he's been running with credit off higher marks since, he's not shaped like getting his head in front. Dangerous if allowed to dominate from the front with this jockey in the saddle though.
On a losing run at present and he was a beaten favourite at Chelmsford when last seen. First-time visor needs to spark a revival.
Forecasts
Justanotherbottle (6/1), Bahamian Sunrise (7/1), Just That Lord (7/1), Boom The Groom (7/1), Tarboosh (7/1), Shamshon (8/1), Midnight Malibu (8/1), Desert Law (14/1), Compas Scoobie (14/1), Aleef (14/1), Harry Hurricane (25/1), Tavener (25/1), Pettochside (40/1)
TARBOOSH is still unexposed and given he's versatile with regards tactics and ground, the five-year-old could be the one to side with. Justanotherbottle is a consistent sort who shouldn't be far away while Bahamian Sunrise is a danger to all if he can get an uncontested lead, though that is a little doubtful with Tavener and Desert Law in the line up.
- Tarboosh
- Justanotherbottle
- Bahamian Sunrise
