Dandy Man colt out of a Shamardal mare who won over 7f, he cost €50,000 as a yearling. Stable in fair form, so worth a check in the market on racecourse debut.

By first-season sire Moohajim out of a Barathea mare, he fetched 55,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to three winners from 5f to 7f. Warrants a second look given purchase price.

Son of Lilbourne Lad out of a Barathea mare. A 12,000 gns yearling, his dam is a half-sister to the useful Rakaan. Stable always to be respected with its juvenile runners, particularly at this track.
Casamento colt who fetched €16,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to five winners from 7f to 1m4f. Stable not noted for sharp two-year-olds so he is probably best watched.
By US Group 1 winner Dialed In, he cost $35,000 as a yearling and is out of a mare who won over 6f on dirt. Wears a hood on debut and is probably keen enough, but has to be considered with so much speed in his pedigree.
Exceed and Excel filly who cost €80.000 as a yearling. Dam won over middle distances so slight doubt about speed for this trip, but stable usually gets its fair share of juvenile winners at this time of the season.
Sixties Icon filly whose dam won over 1m. Eighth of 10 on debut at Wolverhampton and should improve with stable enjoying a fine start to the season.

Finjaan filly who cost only £800 as a yearling and whose dam won over 6f as a juvenile. Others make greater appeal on paper, but she wouldn't be the first cheap purchase to make an impact.

Forecasts

Its The Only Way (2/1), Hard Taskmaster (3/1), Knockabout Queen (9/2), Al Manhalah (9/2), Dark Panther (7/1), Pocket Dynamo (14/1), Pageant Master (50/1), Pinctada (50/1)

Verdict

Only Knockabout Queen has been seen on a racecourse and she was well beaten on debut, so this is a matter of considered guesswork and the one who makes most appeal on paper is HARD TASKMASTER, who fetched a fair price as a yearling and has the inside draw to help him on debut. Pocket Dynamo's speedy pedigree catches the eye, while Its The Only Way and Al Manhalah hail from yards which know the time of day with juveniles. Dark Panther is another to note in the betting market.
  1. Hard Taskmaster
  2. Its The Only Way
  3. Pocket Dynamo
