Irish import who was having his first start for current trainer when finishing a close fourth of eight in a Lingfield seller. Has a fair bit to do off top weight back in handicap company.
Shaped well over 1m6f at this venue last time when second of 13. Drop in trip and 3lb higher mark pose questions, but she is in good heart and seems sure to go well.
First run for this stable since joining the yard from Ireland when a strong-finishing second over C&D a week ago. Up 2lb, but that was his first outing since October so he is entitled to improve for it.
Four-times winner on the AW, but has not been seen since being tailed off over C&D in August, 2016. Has clearly had a problem and is best watched on his return to action.
Capable enough at his best and current mark is a fair one, but he has not won since September, 2016. First run for new stable and has quite a long absence to overcome.
Maiden after 10 starts on the Flat. Ran respectably at Doncaster last time and is dropping down the weights, but others have stronger profiles.
Has been running without success over hurdles and is also 0-12 on the Flat. Connections reach for cheekpieces in a bid to find the answer.
Fair efforts in handicap company at Kempton on last two starts, latterly over 2m when a warm favourite. Has shown he can be competitive off this sort of mark and is one for the short list back down in trip.
Maiden who was making his debut for this stable in finishing in mid-division over 1m6f at this venue when Miss Dusky Diva was second. Work to do on that effort, but shaped as though return to this trip would help and cheekpieces are fitted.
Regular at this track and was not disgraced over C&D last time. Runs off the same mark and has each-way claims.
Maiden who has been placed only twice in 10 starts on the Flat. Showed nothing on first run for this trainer last weekend and is hard to make a case for.
Veteran performer who is a C&D winner, but seems to be on a downward curve. Handicap mark has fallen accordingly, but he looks vulnerable to younger legs.
Forecasts
Casemates Square (3/1), Air Ministry (10/3), Miss Dusky Diva (9/2), Trautmann (15/2), Carvelas (11/1), Filament Of Gold (14/1), Kay Sera (16/1), Druid's Diamond (22/1), Crindle Carr (22/1), Wildomar (25/1), Melanna (28/1), Amadeus Rox (33/1)
An open finale which can go to AIR MINISTRY, who shaped well over C&D on his first start for this stable last week and can make the improvement necessary to take this prize. The progressive Casemates Square may follow him home, while Filament Of Gold likes this venue and can get involved. Trautmann and Miss Dusky Diva are matched again and are likely to be thereabouts.
- Air Ministry
- Casemates Square
