Can be a bit in and out but capable on a going day. Only 1lb higher than when winning at Carlisle (6f) back in August. Best form tends to be on stiffer tracks but couldn't dismiss.

Tends to save his best effort these days for the Fibresand surface at Southwell. Is much lower in the weights on turf and is a previous C&D winner so comes here with much more to recommened him that most. Should run his race.

A wide open looking handicap with lots of early season questions to answer. Hard to get overly enthusiastic about many of them. Hadley gets in here off a low racing weight with his rider taking off a handy 5lbs and should run his race. Tricky Dicky is race fit and should go well but preference on this occasion is for B FIFTY TWO. He is still very well handicapped on his old form. His rider claims a valuable 7lbs and if the wind operation has a positive effect he could be tough to beat.
