Three-times a winner over C&D with two of those victories coming after recent wind surgery his form does appear rather in-and-out. Dropped in grade for this run after two disappointing efforts he does need to find his form again.

Not short of winning form on this surface he was struggling for form when last tried over 5f. Appears to have regained his form since then to a certain extent but despite two C&D wins is better suited to 6f than 5f.

Ran a respectable race on his debut over this C&D and can be forgiven his effort over the same last time when hampered in the early stages along with others. To his credit fared best of that group and now returns to his last winning mark.

Veteran who has plenty of winning form on Fibresand and appears to retain plenty of zip despite his advancing years. Last three runs here have all come over 6f (won off a 3lb lower mark); should still prove competitive over this 5f.

Has already proved herself on this surface with two good placed efforts preceding a C&D win last time off a 2lb lower mark (had the run of the race). Usually likes to force the pace and should be in the mix again if not involved in a pace battle.

Ran with credit on his first try at this trip on his penultimate outing but failed to repeat that effort back to 6f last time. Still a maiden he now reverts to 5f for his Fibresand debut and may be worth noting in the market.

Overall he has something to find on form and has the additional handicaps of running from out of the weights and being 0/6 over C&D. Comes here on the back of a poor run on Tapeta at Newcastle and questions to answer.

Hardly has a convincing profile on this surface and is also 5lb out of the weights. Did get involved in some early trouble last time out but even that wasn't an excuse for another modest run and not one to rely on.

Forecasts

Archimedes (11/4), Sea Ess Seas (9/2), Kingstreet Lady (9/2), Dapper Man (5/1), Sir Geoffrey (6/1), Coiste Bodhar (12/1), Novabridge (16/1), Sir Harry Collins (16/1)

Verdict

Plenty of Fibresand form on display here even though some of it is modest and Archimedes would be of interest if he can find his previous form now dropped in grade and off a more realistic mark. Kingstreet Lady rather got the run of the race when winning last time and should go well again but DAPPER MAN got hampered early on in that race and with a clean start this time around may be able to reverse that form. Sir Geoffrey and Coiste Bodhar have 14 Fibresand wins between them and the former still has plenty of enthusiasm for the game although both may be better over 6f here these days.
  1. Dapper Man
  2. Kingstreet Lady
  3. Archimedes
