Fairly useful sort but has run below form of late including over C&D for a yard that are generally good with this sort. Now back down to his last winning mark although he'll need to show more than he has of late.
Appears to be in a good spell at the moment and has plenty of form on this surface (eight-time winner here). Up 6lb for his last win that came over 5f but ran as well last time out stepped up to this trip; should go well again without threatening.
Dual scorer over C&D with his second win coming off a 10lb higher mark but has found life tough in two starts since (one over further). Shouldn't be too harshly judged on his last below-par run and given a chance of bouncing back here.
Another who likes this surface and has only finished once out of the first three here in seven starts. Not disgraced over 7f here last time coming right back to form (travelled smoothly); big chance if he can repeat that run back over 6f.
Starts out life with a new yard also making his Fibresand debut but not seen since taking the runner-up slot in a Leicester 7f seller on deep ground in September. Mark looks quite harsh although he is by a sire developing a good record on Fibresand.
All his four attempts on Fibresand have come over 5f and he looked back to form in a first-time visor (retained here) last time. Can be slow away and lack resolution but interesting to see him over 6f again; still 4lb above his last winning mark.
Performed below his best when last seen on Fibresand and now makes his stable debut returning to the surface. Did get things back on track last time out returned to Tapeta (in selling grade); will find this far tougher.
Appeared rejuvenated by this surface despite the run of narrow defeats but did appear to be gradually revering to his old lazy racing style. Ran poorly last time (claimer ridden) and may do better back under a fully-fledged pilot.
Forecasts
Treaty Of Rome (3/1), Angel Palanas (5/1), Crosse Fire (11/2), Kommander Kirkup (7/1), Amazing Grazing (8/1), Kings Academy (8/1), Classic Pursuit (8/1), Siege Of Boston (14/1)
This is likely to be run at a good pace with Crosse Fire one who likes to go forward and he could be joined by Classic Pursuit if he makes a clean getaway. The former has been in good form of late and should run another sound race but a strongly run race will help TREATY OF ROME who showed up well over 7f last time. This switch back to 6f shouldn’t be a disadvantage given his C&D form (2241133) and he’ll be finishing strongly. Angel Palanas needs to bounce back from a rare poor run as does Kommander Kirkup and it will be interesting to see how Fibresand debutante Kings Academy fares, his mark looks stiff but his sire is building a good reputation here.
- Treaty Of Rome
- Kommander Kirkup
- Kings Academy
