Verdict

GHOST SERGE finished a well held fourth at Kempton on his seasonal debut but he can take this opening contest on his second try at 1m. The selections first attempt at this trip came in Listed company and this looks a much weaker event and he can improve on his trainer's 33% (5/15) strike-rate in recent weeks. Of his rivals today Carouse has won his last two starts and returns to handicap company for the first time since August while Sociologist can claim third dropping in trip having run over 1m2f twice previously.
