Five of his seven wins have come here and this is clearly his grade. Took advantage of an attractive weight last month, but held twice since and looks vulnerable again from the same mark.
Has improved since switching to this surface and travelled like a dream when scoring over C&D last time. A 5lb rise seems generous in that case as he looked better than the usual class six performer around here.
Beat a poor lot at Newcastle in November over 7f and dictated some modest fractions when runner-up over 1m2f at Chelmsford next time. Handles this surface but this looks stronger than her last three races and she needs to step up.
Has had four runs for this trainer and now drops below his last winning mark. Has won three times on various AW surfaces but yet to race here. Sire has had fibresand winners , so hard to dismiss with Break The Silence providing the needed pace.
Front-runner who goes well around here and who has improved since cheekpieces have been applied. Back from a short break and needing to prove he can defy his current mark.
Ex-Irish mare whose best effort came on deep ground at Tipperary. Looked unsteerable on yard debut last month though and had been found "clinically unstable" after her previous race. Rare runner here for a good yard but appears a risky proposition.
Looks a difficult ride and a change of tactics backfired last time. Has pieces of form that raise optimism, but perhaps best to wait and see how she handles kickback on this surface.
Veteran of 200 races including 15 wins here. Has proved those wanting him pensioned off wrong in the past, but he has a tough task in turning around a 15L deficit with Mr Coco Bean.
Eight of his thirteen victories have come at Wolverhampton and this will be his first run here. Likely to need this after a break and trainer applies new headgear in search of a remedy for his declining fortunes.
Has performed to a modest level in three runs since arriving from Ireland and finds himself in an even tougher race.
Forecasts
Mr Coco Bean (8/11), Scribner Creek (9/2), Chaucer's Tale (7/1), Break The Silence (9/1), Shearian (14/1), Sea Of Hope (25/1), General Tufto (33/1), Sugar Beach (33/1), Emigrated (50/1), Star Links (50/1)
Scribner Creek may not be long in winning from this mark, but on this occasion he may have to play second fiddle to MR COCO BEAN who won with more in hand than the margin suggested last time and who could turn out useful on this surface. Shearian has his fair share of weight and Chaucer's Tale is in a better race than either of her last three starts.
- Mr Coco Bean
- Scribner Creek
- Shearian
