Made all to win a modest event at Wolverhampton at the start of this month and holds obvious claims despite carrying a 6lb penalty. That was his first win in 13 starts but he's gone well on turf from this sort of mark, so has to make the shortlist.

Sound claims at the weights on a literal reading of the form of his latest start but lacks experience of this course and his ability to handle the nature of Kempton has to be taken on trust. Good place claims at least if he does though.

Potentially well handicapped but has been on a downward spiral for a while now and is yet to really convince that she's suited to this sort of trip. Others far more convincing.

Gone well at this course before now but has been campaigned mainly over further up until now, so plenty to prove as he steps down in distance. Well handicapped though.

Lightly raced but little worthwhile form posted in five starts so far. Big improvement required after finishing last on handicap debut at Lingfield just after Christmas.

A tad inconsistent but holds decent claims if able to build on his latest effort, which saw him placed at Chelmsford in a slightly better race than this.

Not shown much under either code of racing but not beaten far in this grade on debut for his current yard. Big leap of faith required but this lacks strength in depth, so may interesting if supported in the betting.

Just a solitary win to her name from 20 starts - won a lads race at Brighton in June 2016 and has rarely raced away from that course since. Hard to fancy on Kempton debut.

One of the better contenders on the very pick of his pasty form but its been a while since he's been at his best on a AW surface and he looks hard to fancy despite being on an attractive mark just now.

Ahead of a few of these latest and very attractively weighted at present - 5lb below her last winning mark and could be revitalised by the challenge of visiting a new course (debut at Kempton this afternoon). Worth a betting check.

Unexposed over this trip and possible there's more to come. Lacks experience of an AW surface in public though, which tempers the confidence unless there is significant support in the betting ring.

Another with sound place claims at this level on the pick of his form. Needs to post a much better effort than he did only previous run at this course. Still worth a check to see if the betting market gives him the benefit of the doubt though.

Bits and pieces of solid form during her time with Heather Dalton but form shown for his current yard is well below that standard. Stiff test on recent evidence and not hard to look elsewhere.

Consistent in this grade and capable of figuring for a place in the frame once more. Worth noting he hasn't won for over four years - back in the days of the polytrack at Wolverhampton. Claims but risky for win only.

Forecasts

Spare Parts (6/4), Touch The Clouds (7/1), Monsieur Royale (9/1), Runaiocht (10/1), Captain Peaky (10/1), Bingo George (10/1), Kachess (14/1), Tigerfish (16/1), Gift From God (16/1), Peter Stuyvesant (20/1), Aye Aye Skipper (25/1), Assertor (25/1), Royal Rettie (66/1), Ettie Hart (66/1)

Verdict

Most of these come with a health warning and it's very much a case of placing a bit of faith in the worth of some of the old bits of form. With that in mind, it may be worth a small investment in TIGERFISH putting her best foot forward and the four-year-old gets a tentative nod on the grounds of likely value. The wide draw for the selection isn't too much of a concern over this trip, but it could also pay to monitor the betting surrounding Touch The Clouds and Bingo George, who also appeal at the likely prices. The in-form Spare Parts
  1. Tigerfish
  2. Touch The Clouds
  3. Bingo George
