Registered back to back wins during the summer and has gone well in defeat since. Tends to miss the break and 0-15 on AW tracks. Suited to slower surfaces and that may explain why his best AW efforts have come at Kempton.
Would need to be at his best to win this. His four efforts since joining this yard leave him a long way below his peak.
Encouraging second run back from an 18 month layoff but off another eight weeks since. Remains below his last winning mark and now back to his last winning trip. All three wins have come in this grade.
Not seen on the Flat since the spring when he was placed over 1m2f and 1m6f. Can hardly afford to put a foot wrong at these weights and his French AW form was undistinguished.
Tailed off on his return from a long absence. Although he should improve he still has an awful lot to find.
Had Miss Liguria 5L off level weights behind when landing a Kempton maiden in July. Not as good in two turf starts since but returns to AW action fresher from a break. Stable took a division of this in 2016.
1-17 record and moves back up in trip. Went well on this surface at Kempton (1m4f) in July but has not progressed and now 13lb lower in the weights.
Most recent success came on last occasion he tackled this trip. Both his career victories have come in tiny fields and he has something to prove in this field.
Winner of 11 AW races during a glittering career and, although he has won once here, his performances elsewhere have looked better.
Impeccably bred gelding but just a winner of a minor maiden on reappearance. Shaped last time as though needing shorter rather than further. Debuts for new yard after an absence with work to do at these weights.
Acquitted himself well on stable debut following a five month break. Has more to offer at this trip and with the benefit of that run.
Hard to rate on three runs against minor company in France. Made his debut here over an inadequate trip and should show more with that run under his belt.
Eight-race maiden who has been found lacking pace. Moves back into handicap company now that connections have found he wants a trip. Easy to see him being thereabouts, but with one or two ahead of him.
Shaped well in two summer maidens and appeared to be making progress. Sent off favourite for handicap bow in August but finished last and has not been seen since. Looks interesting here off an even lower mark and with stable 4-10 in past fortnight.
Looked another slow developer for this yard when scoring at Chelmsford and surprising she has failed to add to her tally since. Latest effort over C&D was a career best and blinkers are fitted now.
Forecasts
Kohinoor Diamond (5/2), Take Two (9/2), Volpone Jelois (7/1), Erinyes (7/1), Top Beak (10/1), Sufi (12/1), Luv U Whatever (12/1), Musikel (12/1), Miss Liguria (16/1), My Illusionist (25/1), Tower Power (25/1), Lungarno Palace (33/1), Ardamir (50/1), Michigan (50/1), Pack It In (50/1)
Take Two would go close if reproducing his best here. The evidence seems to suggest he would prefer a slower surface to this and as a result KOHINOOR DIAMOND, at the other end of the handicap, is preferred. Sir Mark Prescott's filly showed improved form over C&D last time in an apprentice race when she looked somewhat awkward. Luke Morris takes over now and blinkers are applied. She has the ability and is given one more chance to prove herself. Miss Liguria and Erinyes are closely matched judged on their previous meeting. Both hail from in form yards and have to be respected as do Sufi and Volpone Jelois.
- Kohinoor Diamond
- Miss Liguria
- Erinyes
