C&D winner who is starting to look well weighted and can go well fresh. Wasn't in much form when last seen though and a double-figure draw isn't ideal here; is 5lb below his last winning mark though.
Yet to won on the AW but has some form that says she should be able to win in this sphere. Makes her Fibresand debut here though in first-time blinkers have shown her temperamental side last time; sire has a reasonable record on this surface.
Long losing run on the AW and her last win came her over C&D but has shown she can act on this surface which is always a positive. High draw isn't that helpful though and may find life tough on that part of the track.
Yet to try this surface having shown her best form on her penultimate outing at Newcastle in first-time blinkers and given a chance by the handicapper. Wasn't in the same form last time out and needs to show more here.
A visor appeared to make a difference in the summer when he won at Yarmouth off a 2lb lower mark. Hasn't quite gone on from that run and ran poorly last time; last two runs here have only been modest though.
Often seen to good effect over C&D in the past and had a very stiff task for new connections last time out. This looks a little more suitable and it may allow us to see if he is still capable off this mark.
Has form over C&D and has shaped well of late looking better than the result on his return to action at Newcastle and then showing up well last time out here over C&D. Runs off the same mark here (51) which is below his last winning mark and must go close.
Has been hard to place and the losing run now stretches back two years although he has run some good races in that time. Has gone close here a couple of time over C&D and although the draw isn't ideal he should run well here.
Only two previous efforts here with the first of them being a decent efforts at the weights. Has made only a limited impact since his win in the summer at Catterick but may appreciate a return to this surface.
Course regular who turned in a respectable effort last time out over 6f without any headgear (made hard work of it for a long way). Has fallen a long way in the weights since his last win and with headgear back on is of interest in this.
Has shown very little in three starts for this yard and showed nothing on his latest start. Others much preferred here from an awkward and unappealing draw.
Only one previous run on Fibresand (showed little) and has joined a yard who excel at this track. Has been out of form though and will have to find something to make a mark in this.
A real stalwart who has been a legend for his connections particularly on the AW and he has won here before off a 4lb higher mark beating Novabridge by a neck. Novabridge is now better off at the weights and he's not been in the best of form of late.
Sound enough efforts of late but has only ever one race in his career and has no experience of this unique surface (sire has a very poor strike-rate here; 3%). Others make more appeal given the doubts about how effective he will be in the surface.
Forecasts
Sarabi (11/2), Coiste Bodhar (6/1), Novabridge (7/1), Monsieur Jamie (7/1), Archie Stevens (12/1), Something Lucky (12/1), Silver Penny (12/1), Bond Bombshell (12/1), Racing Angel (14/1), Roy's Legacy (14/1), Lackaday (14/1), Tea El Tee (14/1), Excellent Aim (20/1), Roger Thorpe (33/1)
It’s usually best to be drawn down the middle here in sprints and NOVABRIDGE who has run well here before looks nicely placed in stall 5 to be able to build his second here last time. Mick Appleby may be able to work the oracle with Something Lucky and he should be watched in the market. The headgear returns on Coiste Bodhar and that makes him of interest with Archie Stevens and Sarabi a couple of others who can make their mark in this competitive sprint.
- Novabridge
- Coiste Bodhar
- Archie Stevens
