Nottingham winner on good-to-soft ground in August and run well on the AW the last twice including when 2L third here last time out. One for the shortlist from a decent draw.
Well held in the main of late but signs of a possible revival when fifth at Chelmsford in September. Returning from a two month break today.
Made a winning debut for this yard over C&D in May and ran well to finish third at Chelmsford the following month. Disappointing in two starts since returning from a break but now rated just 1lb higher than for his latest success.
Failed to beat a rival home in two starts since winning a C&D claimer in June. Most recent of those came on his return from four months off the track and he has won off higher marks in the past.
Justified favouritism in a selling handicap at Thirsk (5f, good-to-firm) in September. Well held in three starts since joining this yard and others make more appeal.
Made the frame on four of his last five starts finishing ½L second over this C&D last time out. Races off the same mark today and is likely to run well once more.
Dual winner last year but disappointing in the main this time around. Signs of a revival when third on his penultimate outing and excuses when finishing last of 12 at Chelmsford subsequently.
Placed on both starts since joining this yard including when finishing runner-up over this trip at Chelmsford last time out. Races off the same mark today and is one for the shortlist in this contest.
Running well in the main this year including when finishing third over C&D last time out. Draw could have been kinder today and she races off a mark 4lb higher than for June's Thirsk success.
Dual winner over C&D including off a 7lb higher mark in June. Disappointing since but signs that she may be returning to form when finishing sixth last time out.
Successful over this trip at Chelmsford in September and respectable efforts in two starts since. However likely to need some more help from the handicapper before he's back in the winners enclosure.
Forecasts
Kyllukey (4/1), Hamish Mcgonagain (9/2), Spin Top (5/1), Eternalist (6/1), Red Stripes (8/1), First Bombardment (8/1), Shackled N Drawn (10/1), Krystallite (14/1), Absolutely Awesome (14/1), Point North (16/1), Mr Strutter (25/1)
HAMISH MCGONAGAIN can gain reward for a couple of decent efforts of late by taking this competitive looking 5f handicap. The selection finished a good third here last time out and with a decent draw here can take this at the chief expense of the three-year-old Spin Top who has made the frame on both starts for this yard and can see off Krystallite who showed she may be returning to form last time in the battle for the minor honours.
- Hamish Mcgonagain
- Spin Top
- Krystallite
