Decent over hurdles and on a handy mark for this return to the Flat. Solid effort at Lingfield latest reads really well in the context of this race and the gelding has to be on the shortlist in this company.
Seems to have lost his way a tough after a couple of fair efforts in maidens. Big Improvement required form his latest start and others are more preferable on this occasion.
Form in Bumpers has been only modest at best and there was little cause for optimism when switched to the Flat at Kempton earlier in the month. Makes very limited appeal.
Good effort at Sandown on her penultimate start and a repeat does would bring the filly right into the argument in a weak event such as this. One to bear in mind but does need to shrug off a poor effort from last time out.
Form in Ireland was poor (barring one bolt-from-the-blue effort when third at Naas over 1m2f) and not hard to leave out of the equation as she makes her debut for a new yard.
This could be at the mercy of BLEU ET NOIR, who is a decent hurdler but appears to have been found a confidence boosting opportunity under this code of racing. The gelding will be hard to beat if bettering his latest effort at Kempton. Luminous is no great shakes but looks the better alternative than the inconsistent Deliberator, who needs to turn the clock back to his juvenile days to figure.
