Makes his AW debut here having won twice at this Level on turf, but given his previous form may well appreciate a sterner test of stamina than this is likely to provide.

C&D winner, including this race in 2014, but his performances this year have left something to be desired, and he looks vulnerable to a younger, more improving type.

Won a big handicap at Goodwood in August but has been disappointing other than that and though he has run well here in the past he may find this too tricky after a long summer.

Worth a try in a Listed race after some good efforts in handicaps, including on Polytrack, but has something to find with many of these on ratings and is probably best watched.

Not disgraced recently, including in Cambridgeshire when finishing second, but is yet to win on Polytrack and was well-beaten on debut in Listed company at Newmarket last time out.

Beat Boynton at Chelmsford last time out but that was a career-best when that re-opposing rival was probably in need of the run. Should still be capable of hitting the frame, however.

Group 2 winner as a juvenile who missed most of this year and has been beaten twice since his return. They were fair efforts though, and his performance in Listed company last time suggests he should be capable of winning a race of this nature.

Makes his British debut having won three of his last four starts in France, but they were in handicap or claiming company and much more will be required here.

Has won several minor handicaps but held on all attempts at this level and seems more than likely to come up a long way short once again.

Forecasts

Victory Bond (13/8), Boynton (9/4), Petite Jack (7/1), Master The World (10/1), Ayrad (10/1), In The Lope (16/1), Battalion (16/1), Sands Chorus (33/1), Mia Tesoro (50/1)

Verdict

Once again, this seems like to be between BOYNTON and Victory Bond. The selection was narrowly beaten by his reopposing rival at Chelmsford last month, but the Godolphin representative is in all likelihood still coming back to the boil after missing most of this season, and on the best of his juvenile performances should be capable of reversing the form (he was beaten only half a length in the previous meeting). Battalion won this in 2014 and could prove third best, despite no longer being at the level he once was.
  1. Boynton
  2. Victory Bond
  3. Battalion
