Course winner who looks rather in-and-out of form of late and is struggling to get back to his best. Been given a break and the handicapper continues to relent but work to do still and hasa tricky wide draw here.
Yard's runners here are always to be respected on their debuts on the surface but this one will need to show more than she has of late. Often looks a little quirky although she is now back down to her last winning mark.
Makes her handicap/fibresand debut after winning first time out on turf in a Redcar maiden over 7f. Sire and stable have a good record here so she could take a hand and she travelled well on her debut despite showing some greenness.
No stranger to racing round here and has a two course wins to his name (one over C&D). Losing run starting to build up though although he's now 6lb below his last winning mark and back in the right grade; not totally written off.
Fibresand debutante (sire has a 5% strike rate here) who ran below form last time out although the 1m2f trip would have stretched him. Remains a maiden after 16 attempts though and looks to only have a minor chance in this.
Three previous tries here came some while ago and he looked to struggle on the surface at that time. Scored twice this year but hardly the most consistent and ran a poor race last time at Newcastle; now back in same headgear worn for last win.
Caught a real purple patch on his first three runs for this yard here winning all of them over C&D and rising to a mark of 64 earlier in the year. Found increased marks beyond him after those wins and showed very little after a break over C&D last time.
Sire has had a couple of Fibresand winners from limited representation and this one makes his debut on the surface here. His overall record of 1/24 isn't overwhelming though although his best form has come on other synthetic surfaces.
One of five C&D winners in the line-up his win coming off a 7lb lower mark he's been consistent on this surface. Often slow away he probably got a little too far back at Chelmsford last time but has been beaten four times off this mark now.
Another Fibresand debutante his sire (Lord Shanakill) has a modest strike-rate on this surface and he's yet to win a race. He doesn't look to be in much form of late and was ridden further back than usual last time.
Drawn in the coffin box of stall 1 here life won't be easy from that stall and as she makes her fibresand debut (by a sire with a modest record here). Did win her last start cashing in on a reduced mark but no banker to be in the same form here.
Drops back 4f on his Fibresand debut after running a lifeless race after a break at Chepstow last time. Heavily backed when winning on his third start for this yard and looking as though he may go on from that although that hasn't been the case.
Form has got progressively better on this surface (5321) with the C&D win coming on his penultimate start under a forcing ride off an 8lb lower mark. Ran respectably at Wolverhampton last time and may be set for another go from the front up in grade.

Straight Away (13/8), Red Touch (7/2), Medici Moon (6/1), Boots And Spurs (6/1), Samphire Coast (7/1), Zaeem (14/1), Cadeaux Boxer (16/1), Rebel State (22/1), American Patrol (25/1), Sunnua (25/1), Shearian (33/1), Livella Fella (40/1), Dream Magic (40/1), Hernando Torres (50/1)
There is always a risk supporting a horse first-time out on this unique surface but STRAIGHT AWAY justified some strong support on her debut and with her trainer and sire having decent records here she may well be able to make a successful handicap debut. Not that many of the others come here in good form although Medici Moon admittedly up in grade is interesting especially if he gets a soft lead again. Boots And Spurs along with Red Touch have both shown their form around here and come into the equation especially the latter who has fallen in the handicap to below his last winning mark. Samphire Coast is another who is consistent on this surface and even off this mark he may well be able to make the places.
