Incredible run of form including winning last three here. Latest 9lb rise leaves him above the handicap limit and with a welter burden. Won easily again last week so still competitive despite latest hike.
12L 11th behind Ben Rumson last week and with just a 5lb pull the veteran is unlikely to turn things around.
Maiden of 15 starts who lost his way when last seen. First start for new yard today after a layoff so probably best watched for now.
16lb better off with Ben Rumson (won again since) now after finishing a close fifth to him over C&D last time out. At the weights she must have every chance of reversing things even accounting for his improvement.
Respectable effort first try over this trip latest. More required but at least has proved her stamina and likes this course.
Failed to build on much improved Roscommon run last time out when tailed off 16th of 17 at Fairyhouse despite very similar conditions. Hard to guess what to expect at present.
Only glimpses of ability so far and not certain to truly appreciate this trip. Ran well when third in a claimer at Clonmel over an extended 1m1f in May but disappointing since. Others preferred.
Maiden of seventeen starts although ran several good races this summer and with the best of them on decent ground he ought to appreciate switch to AW so not without hope.
Heavy ground specialist who made light of those conditions over 7f at Fairyhouse latest. That form of interest but major red flag is her record on AW; unplaced in all nine starts.
First time in a handicap and on AW latest saw her best effort to date albeit she was only tenth of 14. Lone run over 1m3f inconclusive so worth another try at this sort of trip but limited ability shown so far.
Ran here nine times last winter without success. Changed stable now but unlikely to be ready after long absence and probably gearing up for another winter campaign.
Maiden of nine starts and while he is clearly of limited ability his best efforts have been the twice he has tackled this C&D. 4lb lower than those runs so each-way shout here.
Eleven unplaced starts to date although could argue he's well treated now with a big drop in rating. Back from a layoff but may fare better.
Forecasts
Ben Rumson (9/10), Lizard Point (8/1), Rock On Rosie (8/1), Mack Miller (12/1), Vocal Resurgence (14/1), Any Time (16/1), Lady Rosebud (16/1), Ask Katie (16/1), Law Equity (20/1), Desert Train (25/1), Oh So Sensible (33/1), Shamar (33/1), Tropic Thunder (40/1)
Ben Rumson has been a revelation of late and will go well again despite his latest 9lb rise but at the weights it is hard to argue that ROCK ON ROSIE ought to have his measure this time around. Looking elsewhere Lizard Point is of interest and he should appreciate the AW.
- Rock On Rosie
- Ben Rumson
- Lizard Point
