Multiple C&D winner, including to starts ago. Outclassed in a much better handicap on turf since but should have an excellent chance here just 3lb higher than his last win.
Best of his three runs in maidens came over C&D last time out, but this opening mark seems a lot to ask on handicap debut against some more accomplished performers.
C&D winner including during the summer but only poor efforts since, particularly the last twice when beaten by double digit distances.
Some fine efforts on turf recently, all career wins over shorter than this but appears to stay this far and another big run looks on the cards.
Hasn't really progressed in five races so far, including when switched to handicap company last time out. Dropped 5lb but plenty more needed.
Only career win to date came on the AW but she hasn't been able to build on that since and was well-beaten in a minor handicap at Yarmouth last time.
Experienced campaigner who has often shown his best form on the AW. Ran a very nice race over C&D last time despite finishing fourth and could go a few better here.
Remains a maiden and has still been a few lengths off being good enough to get off the mark recently, but a repetition of that level of form could see him hit the frame.
Still yet to get off the mark but ran a nice race in second over C&D last time out and a repetition of that form would see him in the mix again.
Forecasts
Top Offer (7/2), Dream Free (4/1), Misu Pete (5/1), Jack Of Diamonds (6/1), Cockney Boy (6/1), Waiting A Lot (7/1), Rockshine (14/1), Know Your Name (16/1), Claire's Secret (16/1)
JACK OF DIAMONDS has won over this C&D an impressive four times in the past, and in a weak-looking affair is taken to make that record five. He's just 3lb higher in the handicap than the most recent of those victories and has excuses for a poor showing on turf since. Top Offer has been running better than his form figures suggest recently and he is preferred next, ahead of Misu Pete.
