Still a maiden and makes his second start for this yard having run with credit on his first outing since leaving Martin Smith. Steps up 2f in trip now having run over a mile last time and generally leads although may face some pace pressure here.
Looked as though she was getting back on track last time out having come on for a recent outing after a break. Won over C&D earlier in the year off a 1lb higher mark and given a chance if she can build again from her last run.
Has been known to throw the odd race away in the past and still carries his head rather high. Did win last time out though when looking to be suited by a drop in grade but has proved vulnerable off marks like this in the past.
Course regular who had a good first half of the year winning three times once here over a mile off a 10lb lower mark. Has looked out of sorts of late though on all surfaces and best watched for now.
Lightly-raced sort who has a 7f AW win to her name and given the number of runs looks as though she has been hard to train. Shaped well on a return from a long break last time over a mile here (keen) and looks as though she has more to offer.
Only a fair maiden who looked as though she could win something like this based on her run last time over a mile here when she travelled well before being caught close home. Tries 1m2f for the first time but a chance if she stays and shortlisted.
Yet to be tried on the AW after eight starts on the turf with the last four in handicaps. Her marks still looks high enough and the effort last time a little laboured and others make more appeal.
Came back to form last time out with a good placed effort over this trip at Salisbury off this mark having been a dual AW scorer earlier in the year. His form last time out was as good as his wins and he enters the mix here.
Has run and won in better company in the past although this level is starting to look a little too competitive for him now. Mark is falling and he is a C&D winner so not totally written off if he gets a decent gallop to run at.
Makes his handicap debut on his second outing for this yard having only shown a modest level of form in maidens so far. Raced freely when tried at this trip before and a watching brief is advised for now.
Three handicap wins have come her way so far this year although all have come in a lower grade than this. Has done well though for one of modest ability but this grade and mark requires another step forward.
10lb below her last winning mark that was attained when winning over this trip a Kempton a year ago. The win column has been barren since though and despite the falling mark she merely looks to be going through the motions at the moment.
Early days with this although she did look a potential improver last time back from a break and upped in trip for her handicap debut the classic pattern for an improved showing from this yard. May yet do better off a 2lb lower mark; watch in the market.
Forecasts
Unit of Assessment (11/2), Miss Pacific (6/1), Daily Trader (13/2), Scrafton (13/2), Luxford (8/1), Diptych (8/1), Cadeaux Boxer (10/1), Rum Swizzle (10/1), Miss Blondell (12/1), Silver Dixie (14/1), What A Welcome (16/1), Shifting Star (16/1), Solveig's Song (20/1)
Not as much quality on show here as with some of the other contests on the card and the race is a wide open one that makes limited appeal as a betting medium. Better could clearly be expected from Diptych on her second handicap start as she looks a slow burner and the same could be said of Miss Pacific. Daily Trader and Rum Swizzle are two that are always likely to run their race at this level and both showed enough to be considered contenders here last time out. Cadeaux Boxer is going to face competition for the lead which will lessen his chance and the lightly-raced MISS BLONDELL is the suggestion here having looked to have more to offer when we have seen her.
- Miss Blondell
- Daily Trader
- Diptych
