Usually shows his form and came good at Musselburgh over 7f on his penultimate start off a 10lb lower mark. Not seen to best effect over C&D last time out when getting the worst of draw/pace and not out of this.
Dual C&D winner earlier in the year (once in a handicap) and held his form relatively well since without looking like winning. Turned in a rare poor effort last time out (unsuited by 6f trip); back down to last winning mark here.
Overall has a patchy record and isn't one to rely on having been useful in his prime but looking difficult to train now. Often finds little in his races and the wide draw won't really help his chance here despite a falling mark.
Better over 6f his last win came in claiming company and he's drawn on the outside here and that will make life even more difficult. Off a 3lb mark than when he last ran in a handicap but still faces a tough task.
Not the most straightforward but took advantage of a drop in class/weights to win over C&D last time. Hasn't always looked the most consistent of types though and this is a slightly better race off a 4lb higher mark.
Ran well last time out on the softest ground that he had faced at Chester over 7f when not getting a clear run at the death. Generally runs better in headgear but will need to have some luck in-running from a poor draw.
Winner of this race last year (final leg of a handicap hat-trick) off a 1lb lower mark. Managed to win earlier in the year over a mile at Ripon but has been out of sorts since and faces an awkward draw here.
Visor goes on for the first time with the losing run now starting to mount up and he looks to be rather going through the motions at the moment. His mark continues to fall (7lb below last winning one) and best watched again.
Ground (heavy) and track position (held-up) ended his chance last time out when well behind a few of these over C&D. Could well be a bit better than that but does not more luck in-running and ground a question mark again.
All his four wins have come on the AW (goes particularly well on Fibresand) but lost his unbeaten record on that surface last time. Probably needed that run and will be one to look out for back at Southwell; best watched here.
In good form earlier in the year wining three handicaps off marks up to 74 but hasn't shown much on her last three starts. May well have needed the run after a break last time though and now just 1lb above her last winning mark.
Goes well here having won twice over C&D although he lost that 100% record last time when well beaten behind Boots And Spurs. Has struggled a little since his last win and might just have had enough for the season.
A winner on this card last year over 6f he has been placed but never won over this trip. Hasn't won this season despite a few creditable efforts and given his last run over 6f (outpaced) he might be ready for this trip now.

Like many Catterick handicaps this isn’t easy to solve and much will depend on the run of the race and plenty of the likely principal players are drawn wide which won’t make life easy. Therefore a chance is taken with ROYAL CONNOISSEUR who may be ready for 7f now and looks well drawn from a stable that are still banging in the winners. Boots And Spurs had a few of these behind him when winning over C&D last time but he’s not the most consistent and it won’t be a surprise if one in particular Roaring Forties reverses the form having not really had the run of that race. Fingal’s Cave descends to his last winning mark and he is a dual C&D winner while Worlds His Oyster is one to watch in the market given he didn’t really get a run last time although the draw makes life hard. Shouranour won this last year but hasn’t looked to be in the best form of late; a return to this venue may help though.
