Won a Tramore handicap hurdle in August beating 15 rivals over 2m on yielding ground, tackles these obstacles for the first time, trainer is 0-12 with chasers in the past. Big ask.
Boasts plenty experience over fences and placed three times in nine runs. Out of form when last spotted in May but previous efforts over C&D and at Wexford (2m, soft) when twice second give her solid claims. May however need the outing.
Experienced chaser with nothing to shout about in five outings over the summer, finished remote third (beaten 26L) over C&D earlier this month after a short break. Place claims again.
Showed signs of improvement penultimate start at Clonmel when finishing fourth of 14 beaten only 1L behind Billy De Kid over this trip but backwards step again over C&D a fortnight ago. Remains capable if in the mood.
Did nothing of consequence in 10 starts over timber and beaten more than 50L on chase bow over this C&D a fortnight ago. Hard to see where the improvement comes from to get competitive.
Made a fair start to her chasing career in mares' contest Sligo last month (2m 1½f, heavy) and, while not as good since at Downpatrick, has to be given some claims now back in against her own sex.
Winner of a Killeagh point-to-point in 2015 but has drawn a blank since in all spheres, including Fairyhouse chasing bow over 2m5f this month when failing to get involved and tailing off. Down in trip.
Struggling for consistency this year, though got her act together at Clonmel last time out when bravely holding on to win a maiden hurdle over 2m4f (good). Interesting to see how she backs that up now over fences, market may prove a good guide.
A mare with plenty of stamina and a proven ability to handle testing ground, she twice won over hurdles in August. Latest effort in that sphere was in Listed company, she rates a potentially useful recruit to this sphere.

Unseated on chase debut, before three heavy defeats including two 49L losses at Killarney and Limerick before another heavy defeat last time out.
Disappointing on all starts this season failing to finish last time out at Wexford in September (2m, good). Needs sizeable improvement on anything she's done so far to figure.
Yet to sustain a challenge in four outings over fences, is best watched again now, with suspicion that best chance may eventually arrive in handicaps over further.
Won a Wexford handicap hurdle (2m, good) last month beating 13 rivals following a fairly disappointing season, fair effort under penalty since at Limerick (2m, soft). Makes chase debut and worth a look.

Blazing West has enough experience over these obstacles to be respected but she may be vulnerable to a newcomer and could also need the run on her return, so she is bypassed. Magic Of Light had a recent hurdles run to set her up for this and is an interesting newcomer for much-respected connections while the baby of the part, Miss Sassie, is worth considering receiving weight with Russell on top. La Bella Vida made a decent start over fences last month at Sligo to be second, though that wasn't the strongest race and so chasing debutante KILGANER QUEEN, who will have fitness on her side, is given the nod to land a competitive opener.
