Off the mark over a furlong shorter at this course last time out having been running well in defeat over this trip both on turf and AW prior to that. Major player if replicating that form back up to this distance.

Not at his best recently but not discounted on his best form. Though his win came over this trip he may be better over intermediate distances.

Makes his return to the track after a long absence and with plenty to prove for a new trainer having played on a minor role in all his races to date.

Yet to beat a rival since switching to Flat maidens from bumpers (four runs on the level since September 2014). First-time tongue-tie needs to bring about an unlikely amount of improvement.

Not the most encouraging strike-rate but sole victory came over 1m on Polytrack which is slightly more encouraging. Running at a similar level to that in handicaps since and needs considering here.

What little ability he had seems to have disappeared this year and looked a doubtful stayer on his one previous attempt at this trip.

Hinted at ability when trained by Roger Varian but has shown little for this yard and has plenty to prove here in a first time visor.

Though she has mostly been campaigned over further her best form is over this trip, as she proved with a good second on heavy ground at Ffos Las last time out. Draw not ideal here but this looks a good test for her.

Run in a minor handicap at Brighton when last seen and that was the first time he has finished within 20L of the winner (finished eighth); too many doubts remain even in this lowly company.

Hasn't made her mark on handicaps since switching from maidens, but may have not yet had her conditions. Interesting back over this C&D in classified company.

Yet to truly make her mark over a variety of trips to date but has probably been most effective over slightly further than this. Plenty more needed here than the majority of her recent runs.

27L beating into last at Brighton last time out was poor even by her low standards and it's difficult to see her getting off the mark here based on all previous form.

Verdict

Not the strongest of races but CHOUGH looks the potential improver in the field having gotten off the mark stylishly at this course last time out. As long as stepping back up to this trip doesn't inconvenience Hughie Morrison's gelding then he looks capable of building on that easy victory, especially in a race where he faces few in-form rivals. One of those few is Born To Please, who is considered on the basis of her second at Ffos Las last time, while Captain Sedgwick is entitled to do better dropped back down to this trip.
