Breeding nothing to write home about, and it arguably suggests he needs further than this, but yard did have a 2-y-o winner in the week, which looks the straw to cling to.
Hard to say he's progressing but he's not doing any worse for experience, and again ran to his mark when fourth at Epsom latest. Seems to handle most ground, a drop back to 6f not an issue, so should go well once more.
Green on debut at Catterick last month and will have learnt from that, but in truth didn't really show enough there and looks one that needs a bit more time.
Bred to have a bit of speed, and worth remembering yard sprang a 100/1 surprise with a first time out 2-y-o here in the summer. In a moderate race, needs a market check.
Yard get plenty of 2-y-o winners here and often have winners first time out (almost 12% strike rate this season). Related to some black-type winners, but slightly worrying that he's starting out at a rather low level.
Good effort at Ascot in September and latest effort probably best forgiven as she got no run off the bend at Kempton (taken very wide). Slight concern that she was well beaten on her run here in August, but that aside, holds a chance.
Better effort at Sandown on her latest start, staying on from off the pace to finish a close fifth, but had looked a bit at sea on debut at Brighton and it's possible this track may not play to her strengths either.
Forecasts
Lady Dancealot (11/8), Kimifive (7/2), Maypole (4/1), Dutch Academy (8/1), Section Onesixsix (10/1), Is It Off (14/1), Jack Taylor (25/1)
It's a bit of a worry, given his strong pedigree, that MAYPOLE begins his career at a fairly low level but he makes plenty of appeal on paper and if ready to go, might be too good for these. Kimifive has done little wrong to date and looks sure to run into a place again, at worst. Lady Dancealot may be best of the rest.
