Fair hurdler who hasn't managed to make his mark since starting off on the Flat; drop in trip unlikely to bring about improvement given the stamina he clearly possesses.
Has only beaten two rivals home in four starts so far and makes his turf debut here with plenty to prove on the basis of his performances to date.
Well-beaten on debut at Chepstow last time out (7f, soft). Plenty more needed now dropping down in trip by a furlong for his second start.
Beaten 35L into last on debut at Yarmouth last time out; needs to leave that form a long way behind here in order to figure.
Pastoral Pursuits colt who is fitted with a hood for this racecourse debut. Half-brother to one minor winner but not a particularly exciting pedigree on the whole.
The poorest of his four runs came at Chepstow last time out, but the drop to 6f and return to this course should suit, and a big run looks a distinct possibility.
Has run some nice races in better maidens that this despite not yet getting off the mark. Connections persist with this route despite handicaps now being an option and the trip shouldn't be an issue.
Well held in handicap company recently and hasn't really looked of the quality to make her mark in maidens either, even among some fairly uninspiring rivals here.
Never really threatened on debut at Kempton last month; down in trip here but needs that to make the difference if he's to get involved here.
Ran as her 66/1 odds suggested she would when only beating one rival home on debut at Newmarket last time. Tongue strap applied but others preferred.
No better on first start for this trainer at Chepstow last time out; doesn't look up to winning a maiden and has plenty to find here.
Improved for her first start to finish second at over a furlong shorter here last time out. Step back up in trip unlikely to be an issue but probably looking at a place at best even with further improvement.
Yet to beat a rival in two starts having finished last in fields of ten and last of twelve. Looks distinctly lacking in ability and impossible to fancy here.
Has had plenty of chances by now but has also run to a fair standard in most of her races to date. Possibility that might be enough in this relatively weak-looking affair.
Forecasts
Holiday Girl (7/4), Zilza (9/2), Know The Truth (11/2), Cherished (13/2), Our Oystercatcher (9/1), Dilinger (10/1), Bleu Et Noir (16/1), Spitfire Limited (28/1), Linda Doris (40/1), Ladakhi (100/1), Eye Burner (100/1), Akuna Mattatta (100/1), Rockalater (150/1), Val's Magic Touch (250/1)
Though not able to get her head in front to date, HOLIDAY GIRL has run well in better races than this, and though she has been a bit hard to win with up to now the fact that connections persist with a maiden campaign suggests they have the confidence in her to win a race such as this, and a big run can be expected from Eve Johnson Houghton's three-year-old. Cherished should enjoy the drop back down to 6f and is preferred next, ahead of the consistent Zilza.
