Unchallenged 5L winner of a German Listed contest in August (7f, soft), having gone close in a similar event over 1m here previously. Took a step backwards in Group 3 company at Doncaster last time and may be vulnerable conceding weight all round.

Has proven herself a very capable handicapper this season, making it three wins from her last five starts with a good win over 1m at Chelmsford last time. Masses of improvement needed to win in this company though.

Very progressive last year, gaining the best of her four wins when readily making all the running in this very race (good to soft). Twice a runner-up in Group 3 company in a light campaign this year and looks the one to beat.

Has recovered from a lull in form to produce two cracking second-place efforts in handicaps on this course, most recently behind Amabilis over 1m (good to soft). Something to find at this level, however.

Much-improved since joining this yard, winning back-to-back 7f handicaps at Doncaster and York earlier in the year. Fourth in a Listed event at Musselburgh since, though a disappointing favourite in Germany last time. Would need a career best.

A winner twice in Ireland since leaving Dermot Weld's stable but few signs she's up to winning at this level, though did manage fourth in a similar event at Chester. Struggled in a Group 3 last time and others look more likely.

Not won since her debut at Pontefract and very disappointing at Chelmsford last time out. Plenty to find on form with this field given that she arrives with the second lowest official rating in the race.

Plenty of juvenile promise and scored nicely on first attempt over 7f at Leicester (good to soft) on her reappearance. Only just beaten in this grade at Carlisle next time and didn't get the clearest of runs at Goodwood latest. One to consider.

Proving pretty consistent with two wins and a string of placed efforts to her name but not always convincing and raced very freely when third over 1m at Newmarket last time. Dropped in trip now and hood introduced.

One Master18

Sharp pedigree and improved on an encouraging debut at Doncaster to readily oblige in a 6f maiden at Yarmouth on soft ground next time. Interesting to see her pitched straight into this grade over an extra furlong.

Expensive, well-bred filly who dotted up on her debut at Newbury in the spring but wasn't seen out again until finishing well down the field in a Listed event over 7f there last month. Should come on for that and not ruled out.

High-class juvenile last season who finished a runner-up in a Group 3 at Newbury on her return but hasn't quite kicked on as expected, though she was a close-up fourth in a Listed event at Newbury latest. Possibilities once again.

Progressive Irish raider who opened her account in a Leopardstown maiden in June before swooping late to win a 7f handicap there (yielding) last time out. Likely there is more to come and dangerous to underestimate.

Eternally (10/11), Pirouette (8/1), Xenobia (8/1), Bletchley (10/1), Urban Fox (12/1), Princess De Lune (12/1), One Master (20/1), Havre De Paix (20/1), Bumptious (33/1), Dubara (33/1), Hells Babe (40/1), Orangey Red (50/1), Belle Meade (66/1)

Verdict

Last year's comfortable winner ETERNALLY has done very little wrong in her career so far and has shaped as though retaining all ability by finishing second in a brace of Group 3's in a light campaign. With John Gosden's string in tremendous form, it would be no surprise to see her repeat last year's triumph, though Bletchley is a talented performer who is unlikely to go down without a fight. The totally unexposed One Master is another interesting opponent, whilst Princess De Lune could emerge as a danger if able to build on the promise of her debut debut win.
