The run that makes this one standout came over C&D in June on soft ground winning easily but it hasn't been quite the same story since. Last two efforts while being solid enough have implied that he's high enough in the weights now; more needed.

Four starts four wins was the early story of the campaign for this one but he's failed to maintain that and his form has taken a dip since then. Looks as though the handicapper may now have him in his grasp and would need to find more now.

Off for a long time and it looks as though his first two runs were all about working him back to fitness as he then bounced back to form on his last start.. His pedigree suggests he could do even better and he looks like one to progress.

Has a good record around here (3/4) and the track clearly suits his style of positive running as it did when he scored here on his last start over C&D. Raised just a 1lb for that run if given an easy lead again he will be dangerous. Improving sort.

Bounced back to form here last time out off a reduced mark but clearly relishing the testing conditions; travelled well and quickened clear easily. Given a 6lb rise for that win bit with conditions to suit he's hard to rule out.

Trainer does well with his handicappers at this course although this AW winner has yet to really progress in handicaps. His tendency to pull may well have held him back so far and he'll need to settle better to take a hand here.

Makes his first start for this yard having started off relatively well for David O'Meara before his form rather tailed off in his last couple of starts. Can look a little temperamental and may well be best watched for now against some in form types.

Has run some of he better races here and did so when third off a mark of 80 in August and showed again that this track suits him behind Bahama Moon last time. Has work to do with that one now and often starts slowly but features on a good mark.

Ran an eye-catching race here on his penultimate start on heavy ground but failed to build on that on quicker ground at Redcar recently. Can look a little awkward but maybe a return to this track on testing ground will see him show a bit more.

Forecasts

Bahama Moon (11/4), Alexander M (7/2), Itsakindamagic (4/1), Al Destoor (13/2), Gabrial's Kaka (7/1), Jabbaar (10/1), Mutamaded (12/1), Gulf Of Poets (25/1), Pumaflor (33/1)

Verdict

Once again not an easy race to sort out although if Alexander M grabs an easy lead he may well be very hard to pass and he's very much respected especially with Franny Norton on board who rides this track so well. Mutamaded might still have some improvement left in him with Gabrial's Kaka also dangerous to leave out of the equation given his reduced mark and form around this track. BAHAMA MOON is given the vote though having won easily here last time and he still looks well weighted on his old form with conditions to suit. Jabbaar isn't out of this either despite a poor run earlier in the week, this looks a more suitable test.
  1. Bahama Moon
  2. Alexander M
  3. Jabbaar
