Possibly flattered slightly by the winning margin at Hamilton in June (6f good to firm) when making all down the favoured stands side rail and beaten twice since in stronger contests. Back from a break for AW and nursery debut.

Not raced beyond 5f so far and perhaps found softer conditions against her at Pontefract last time, but she shaped with promise here on debut in June (5f) and is much respected for her nursery debut with her rider claiming a valuable 3lb.

Six race maiden who has continually (until his latest run) been thereabouts. However this 45,000 gns yearling hasn't appeared overly progressive and needs to prove himself on the surface and over this trip.

Too green to do himself justice in his early races, but much better at Carlisle last month (6f maiden good to soft) when a neck second to Highest Rank. Nursery debutant, and another very strong ride for his jockey tonight.

Six race maiden who hasn't really progressed since showing limited early promise. However, he was flying high over in Ireland at The Curragh latest, and this nursery looks more realistic from a reduced mark.

Only able to make a minor impact in three starts over the course of a month during June and July (5f/6f). But returns to the track having been gelded, so improvement is possible on nursery and AW debut.

Visually appeared to find the sharp Catterick 6f (soft) not enough of a test latest. Having previously run over further that's perhaps no surprise, but only outside claims on nursery and AW debut over a much stiffer 6f trip.

27,000 gns yearling by Choisir, but has shown disappointingly little so far. Improvement possible for her nursery and AW debut, but it most definitely needs to be forthcoming to make any impact whatsoever.

Five race maiden, but has clearly stepped up a gear since switched to nurseries on synthetics. Probably didn't get home over 7f at Kempton last week (third to previous winner Sunbreak) and returns to 6f off the same mark (3lb rise due).

Shown nothing of note in four career starts, and whilst her trainer had one run well here at astronomical odds on Tuesday, she looks a likely back number off a basement mark.

Forecasts

Gangland (4/1), Geesala Brave (4/1), Revenge (9/2), Indian Warrior (11/2), Armed Response (6/1), Sosian (6/1), Onesarnieshort (16/1), Duke Of Freedom (28/1), Elusive Bird (33/1), French Silk (100/1)

Verdict

Geesala Brave is clearly beginning to learn his trade with each and every racecourse appearance and looks another possible winner on the evening for David Egan, whilst Revenge carries a paper-weight, and is due a slight rise in the weights following some improved efforts in nurseries since switched to the AW, and needs respecting accordingly now back to 6f. However, SOSIAN is taken to bounce back from a lesser effort at Pontefract, and take advantage of a fair opening mark. This filly has already proved she handles this track, and should have the required attributes for this longer trip and it's notable that Adam McNamara's 3lb claim has been utilised to take a few more valuable pounds off her back.
