Had to take a drop in grade to break score in handicaps for the first time at Kempton on the AW in August having previously run in better handicaps. Has shaped better than the result in his two subsequent runs but back on turf here on soft ground creates doubts.
Confirmed his earlier promise when scoring at Redcar over a mile looking well ahead of his mark winning readily. Backed to the exclusion of everything else next time out in a small field conditions race at Ripon and disappointed (needs to bounce back here).
A scorer on his handicap debut (without his usual visor) he showed improved form at Nottingham over a mile on his last start for Simon Crisford. Ran poorly on his first start for this yard up in trip and on quicker ground he's worth another chance back on softer ground.
Suited by a relative test of stamina when scoring in a Southwell Fibresand maiden over a mile on his second start. His two handicap starts since on turf haven't shown him in the same light but may be better on a softer surface that he should get here.
Started at a short price to land his maiden over 7f and duly did so although he took plenty of driving along over a trip that looks short of his best. Ran a sound enough race in his opening handicap but looks as though he will need to improve of this mark.

Forecasts
Hugin (13/8), Mazyoun (3/1), Working Class (9/2), Whosyourhousemate (5/1), Casina Di Notte (6/1), Maratha (9/1), Flashy Snapper (10/1), Sterling Silva (25/1)
There look to be a one or two in here that could be useful but do have some questions to answer before they get there. Mazyoun is better than he shown on his last two starts but does have to prove himself on the predicted soft ground as does Flashy Snapper. The ground is expected to suit Maratha and he could bounce back here having looked useful when with Simon Crisford. HUGIN was hugely over valued by the market last time out but may not have been suited by the course at Ripon and he’s given a chance here to show his previously progressive form again here. Casina Di Notte has to cope with a rise in class but can’t be totally ruled out with just a 4lb rise for his last win when he may have had a little in hand.
