A €16,000 son of Big Bad Bob, the gelding posted a satisfactory effort on his debut but was difficult to load and very possible he may have his own ideas on how to run. Still early days but improvement already needed.
Cost just 8,000 gns but is from a good family and represents a top yard with a good strike-rate at the course. Possible he will thrive over a longer trip but sure to benefit from the experience and is a noteworthy contender.
Promise shown in first two starts but failed to progress at Sandown latest; disconcerting that the headgear is now applied and may be best watched this time around.
Likable if unspectacular pedigree and from a yard not really noted for first time out winners. Another that will come on for the run and no surprise to see him switch to the AW before long.
Appeals on breeding but was never a factor on debut at Salisbury and needs to put in a much better stint this time. Probably safe to just take notes judging by the form in the book.
Not much evidence of ability or imminent progress in either start to date. Much more required and is another that makes limited appeal at the present time.
Got going late on debut at Lingfield; that effort was encouraging enough to suggest the filly can pay her way. Significant jockey booking, so has to be considered if the betting market speaks in her favour.

Tesorina (11/8), Pompey Chimes (9/4), Groundnut (3/1), Poetic Affair (8/1), Ipcress File (33/1), Mayhem Maybe (33/1), Gas Monkey (33/1), Arachina (50/1), May Spirit (66/1)
Mark Johnston has a good eye for an opening at this level and may have found POETIC AFFAIR a good chance to rid himself of the maiden tag. The trip is likely to suit and a bold effort can be expected. Tesorina gets plenty of weight from the selection and has a top jockey booked, so must be respected, whereas Pompey Chimes already need to improve but has more going for him than most of the others; Ipcress File might be the best of the rest.
