Regularly placed over longer trips of late from this mark, but tried with various bits of headgear to inch out some more improvement. The blinkers experiment didn't prove fruitful at Yarmouth and drops to this trip for the first time since February.
Broke his duck from a 9lb lower mark on the Polytrack here in February (7f) and has proved to be a consistent sort since. Beaten a head by Ejayteekay on heavy ground at Ffos Las last month and a likely player.
Redcar maiden winner (7f soft) for Ed Dunlop in October 2016 and bits and pieces of placed AW form for various trainers since then, but less pleasing on turf more latterly so needs more from a falling mark.
Infrequent winner (just once in 19 starts), but that success came off this mark at Salisbury in May (7f good to soft), where she saw off today's rival Lucky Louie by a head.
Seemingly stronger on the AW than on turf (7f winner at Wolverhampton in September 2016). Off for much of the season after a dismal reappearance at Doncaster in April, but not inconceivable her recent efforts will put her spot on for this race.
Lingfield AW winner who appears a versatile sort with a couple of recent improved efforts coming on variable racing surfaces. Beaten narrowly by course specialist Arctic Flower on his penultimate start, so has a chance from just a 1lb higher mark.
Redcar maiden winner for Ed Dunlop in October 2016 (6f good to soft), but that form isn't up to much and sold swiftly afterwards for 11,000 gns. No encouragement in four starts for this yard in 2017, but plummeting in the weights.
A two time career winner (6f good to firm and 7f soft), but in poor shape at present and has failed to beat a single rival in her last three starts. Falling in the weights as a result but very difficult to imagine she can be involved.
Has done the bulk of his racing on the AW, showing some improvement since moving into handicaps. This appears to be his best trip, but lacks much of a gear change, so worth a try on a softer surface.
Six time career winner who appreciates the sea air of Brighton. Beaten a short-head by Arctic Flower over 7f (soft) here in July, and a definite chance on that effort from just a 1lb higher mark, but not so sharp most latterly.
Seven race maiden who has presumably had a slight setback having been absent since finishing third to Rakematiz over 1m1f at this track in early June (good to firm). Unproven on soft and drops 2f in trip.

Lucky Louie (3/1), Sentinel (6/1), Glorious Poet (7/1), Many Dreams (7/1), Live Dangerously (8/1), Zorba The Greek (8/1), Luang Prabang (9/1), Equal Rights (10/1), Rattle On (10/1), Gabrielle (20/1), Dynamic Girl (25/1), Eternal Dream (25/1)
As in Division 1 35 minutes earlier, many of these horses are much of a muchness. A couple of the runners have bumped into the course specialist Arctic Flower (runs in Division 1), namely Rattle On and Live Dangerously. Both should be thereabouts from similar marks if reproducing those efforts, whilst there is also precious little to choose between Lucky Louie and Many Dreams on their Salisbury clash in May. Therefore, in pursuit of something which might offer a fraction more value at bigger odds, a chance is taken on LUANG PRABANG. She is capable at her best and has fallen to her last winning mark with the suspicion being that her most recent start at Kempton will have put her spot on for this contest.
- Luang Prabang
- Lucky Louie
- Rattle On
