A dual C&D winner with the second of those victories coming last time out taking advantage of a fall in the weights and bouncing back from a poor spell. No guarantee that he will follow-up however and vulnerable of this mark.
The handicapper is giving him a chance now and he nearly took advantage last time out when taking the runner-up slot at Hamilton over 6f. May well see a contest such as this drop his way soon given the help he is receiving in the weights.
Got back to winning ways at Thirsk in June over this trip at the time when the yard was struggling for form. They seem in better form now and this one should remain competitive off this mark.
Already a winner three times this year and has a decent strike rate for a low-grade handicapper. Beaten the last twice though and may just be going off the boil for now and soft conditions here might be a problem.
Three runs this year have seen him show very little and he continued below par last time out and is best left alone here given his form so far this year.
Unreliable type who is though a C&D winner but her overall profile is inconsistent as shown by her last couple of runs. Ran a poor race last time out and despite being well below her last winning mark is hard to trust.
Contested a better race than she needed to last time out with blinkers replacing the usual cheekpieces over 6f. That trip stretches her suspect stamina though and hard to fancy over this trip given those limitations.
Finally of the mark when taking a C&D handicap off a mark of 60 in soft conditions and only found out by the trip again on his penultimate start here over 7f. Didn't get the run of the race last time and given another chance here.
The visor he wore when winning on his penultimate start appeared to have a positive effect and coupled with a fall in the weights saw him score over 6f at Thirsk. Followed up with a decent run (better than result) and respected here.
Won a couple of handicaps with give in the ground at the end of last year over sprint trips but appears to have had a very sparse campaign this year. Latest couple of runs have shown a little promise and he's worth watching in the market.
Made his handicap debut over 5f at the start of the year but was quickly upped in trip with positive tactics employed (didn't look to suit last time). Now back to 6f from 1lb out of the handicap but others make more appeal.
Poor handicapper at best who won at Thirsk in 2016 off a basement mark but has failed to score since and has shown very little spark this year.
Forecasts
Avenue Of Stars (4/1), Cupid's Arrow (5/1), Indian Pursuit (15/2), Le Manege Enchante (15/2), Uncle Charlie (8/1), Meandmyshadow (9/1), Clear As A Bell (11/1), Traveltalk (12/1), Clouded Gold (18/1), Robbian (20/1), Sarabi (25/1), Blistering Dancer (66/1)
Indian Pursuit bids for his third C&D win and looks to follow-up his win last time out, although this mark may prove beyond him and another C&D winner CUPID’S ARROW is preferred reverting to 6f and well drawn. Le Manege Enchante is expected to run a solid race after showing up well in a better heat last time out with Avenue of Stars worthy of a look off a mark that he should be able to win off soon. Robbian is lightly-raced this year but worth a check in the market especially if the ground softens while Clear As A Bell could do with the ground drying up.
- Cupid's Arrow
- Le Manege Enchante
- Robbian
